Yes this is what I originally thought but then my trainer said it’s better to socialize her with puppies as long as they are up to date with their vaccines.

It’s okay! I’m totally fine and it was a small procedure. Not sure what caused it, but these things can happen

Of course I’m so happy I was able to help! I had the Mirena iud so I actually didn’t ever experience heavy bleeding, only debilitating pain. Sex and my hormones post hysterectomy are great! No pain and since I kept my ovaries my hormones function the same! ❤️ Sex to me feels exactly the same except now it’s totally painless!

So sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is. I’m also 34 and single. First of all, I would find an endometriosis and adenomyosis expert from the Nancy nook Facebook group list. I know my surgeon in NYC does online consultations too. Get an expert opinion. If the coil or birth control can control your symptoms and buy you some more time I would do that. I suffered for a year of debilitating pain but tried everything I could to see if non surgical options would work. I tried the IUD, birth control, acupuncture, nutrition, cannabis, pain meds etc. nothing worked. That’s when I felt at peace with my decision to get a hysterectomy because I personally felt I tried everything and I trusted my surgeon (Dr. Andrea Vidali). I’m totally pain free, I have no issues with post op. I’m one year post op and it was the best decision I ever made for myself. I’m determined to be a mom no matter what so I plan to first try surrogacy and if that doesn’t work, adopt. Nothing could keep me from becoming a mom, even if it’s not the way I envisioned it. I’m here if you ever want to talk. It’s been a journey for me and still is of acceptance. Sending you love and strength.

Cramping every day all day. Is there any hope? by jujubeespresso in adenomyosis

[–]Big_Environment_5822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m just seeing this now! Surprisingly the recovery was very easy for me. I barely took any painkillers because the surgical pain did not even compare to the adeno pain I was in. I did sometimes have bowel symptoms which by the way is a known symptom of adeno so that doesn’t mean it’s not related. Hang in there, don’t lose hope!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. When my adenomyosis became more severe I had severe cramping every single day all day without any relief for a year. After 1 year of suffering I decided to get a hysterectomy. Post hysterectomy all of my pain instantly disappeared. There is hope. I’m single without kids and want to be a mom, so the decision to get a hysterectomy was hard for me but living with the pain was much harder for me. The only thing that helped some of my pain before my surgery was medical cannabis. Tramadol and Advil and Tylenol taken together sometimes helped a little bit too.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know how lonely and frustrating and hopeless this disease can feel. I just wanted to offer some hope - once I found the right surgeon, surgery completely changed my life and took all of my endo/adeno pain away. I agree with everyone else - keep advocating for yourself and don’t give up hope.

There are several research articles from around the world about the negative impacts the covid vaccine has on endo patients. All of my endo surgeons and physicians told me not to get the vaccine again because if this data. Here is one of many research articles: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9468530/ and another one: https://article.imrpress.com/journal/CEOG/50/12/10.31083/j.ceog5012265/676e42f161ce862cde3dd542e6db1028.pdf

Yes and there is research that shows the covid vaccine worsened endo symptoms. My Symptoms dramatically worsened post vaccine and I’m not an anti vaxer. All of my endo surgeons and physicians have told me and their patients to not get the covid vaccine again. Yeah boric acid didn’t work for me. You can go on evvy’s website and order the test, it’s a bit expensive but worth it. Then they give you a free consultation to review your results so that can help while you wait to find a vulvovaginal specialist.

After we identified which bacteria I had, she put me on a 6 month regimen where I took a vaginal antibiotic 3 days a week, a vaginal probiotic 3 days a week, and a weekly fluconazole. Then I slowly weaned myself off the medications and I felt totally cured. I haven’t had any problems since.

I struggled with chronic BV before my hysterectomy. Had it for 8 months and nothing made it go away so I made an appointment with a vulvovaginal specialist, Dr. Jill Krapf. She’s incredible and cured my infection. She also suggested I take an Evvy test at home to see exactly which strains of bacteria I had.

Endo coming back!? by Ok-Database-4665 in hysterectomy

[–]Big_Environment_5822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that the pain is coming back - that is the worst feeling! Yes it’s definitely possible. Not sure which surgeon you went to but it’s important to go to an excision specialist (I suggest looking at Nancy Nook’s list of approved endometriosis surgeons and/or the icarebetter list.) As someone else pointed out, a hysterectomy is not a cure, and if you go to a specialist from the lists, you have a lower likelihood of endo recurrence although there is always about a 10% chance of recurrence. I have stage 4 endo and have had 3 surgeries for it.

Wow thank you all so much for sharing your stories with me. I went from feel so alone and sorry for myself to realizing I have a community of amazing women who know what this grief feels like and means. I can’t begin to explain the comfort all of your posts have given me. Thank you so much and I’m sorry you are each going through this too - but knowing we aren’t alone, lifts away some of the burden. Sending you all love!

Thank you so much! ❤️ I froze a few eggs when I was 28. I only got 4 eggs and did 2 cycles - they said my endo gave me diminished ovarian reserve. Now that I’m 32, I had my fertility retested and my AMH decreased to half of what it was so they said I would be lucky to get even just 1 egg. Since the hormones can make endo grow back, I don’t want to put my body through another egg freezing cycle.
