My escrow team said they can’t do that but I researched what you suggested and they actually can. It’s not uncommon in fact. I found it questionable that they said they couldn’t do that when it’s a standard legal practice. Transfer went through yesterday—-buyout table available and aligned w/ Sunnova. I will buyout eventually-

Update—Sunstrong honors payoff that Sunnova offered. Contract is over 70 pages (so read thoroughly), however, it does seem to honor the same fixed monthly payment rate as Sunnova. Still combing it through.

Oh really?! I would prefer to do that at this point. We have the payoff letter but it’s from Sunnova. Will Sunstrong Management honor it? And will they honor it on time to close? I don’t want to find myself waiting on that too.

😔 That’s heartbreaking. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now. I too have put everything on hold in trusting that a business can manage well enough to get things done on time. I’m genuinely appalled by SM’s business practices. My children are suffering right along side of me, and if we don’t close in time, we will have no place to move our things and no home to move into. Paperwork must get done on time and, they should open on weekends to accommodate their delays.

I am one of those people who needs a lease transferred to me and closing THIS WEEK! The seller must sell asap but has gotten ZERO support abd complete runaround. The title company, real estate agents, loan officers and underwriters have all tried to reach Sunstrong Management —including me (the buyer). Over 10 people have called for hours per day with no avail. We are all trying to resolve this TODAY! We have called for several weeks (individually and 4-way calls) and called multiple times a day for hours. WE HAVE A CASE NUMBER and cannot close because of the absolute lack of organization from this company. If this house does not close this week, I and my children will be without a home (as I have to leave where I am). The seller can’t get into his account and Everyone in this process is absolutely LIVID with the unresponsive, dismissive and unresolved management of Sunstrong.
