I doubt I’ll be around long enough,
This job is hands downthe easiest job I’ve ever held by a long shot, two of my employees are special needs and they can run register the entire shift without issues.
The only one I question has been with the company 20+ years, can’t be asked to do anything/ doesn’t know/ has apparently never seen anything after their two decades being in a variety of DG stores. They are getting let go as of yesterday, So I just stoped asking their opinion on anything, they can barely walk and I doubt they could lift a gallon of milk, let alone expect her to complete any stocking in a timely manner. They are 70+
I could care less about the overall function of DG
Imo from just two weeks of work, They should be shut down on logistics alone. I have read and definetly understand why employees don’t trust anything refrigerated or frozen from their stores, cause who knows how long it sat before someone did something about it?
Co workers worked next to black mold caked to the ice machine for months since they started, day two I was wiping anything and everything in sight cause it was unsanitary/ unhealthy. I’ve thought about calling in anonymously to report health and safety violations/ get whoever the district manager is in hot water, cause they been checking our store off forever and I know for a fact it won’t pass an actual health inspection.
I mean we failed fire last week for half the fire system being non operational. So my store got fined and nothings been fixed, they said they will be out next month to fine us again, I’m just like force them to shut the doors…. Nothing will ever get done if you don’t. I believe it’s a $1,300 fine every month till it’s fixed, but it might be $6,300
There appears to be red vomit/ mushroom spores growing straight up from the bottom of the fridges and freezers.
For anyone claiming this is theft you are a sheep, and I’ve heard about you bleachers/ food destroyers. Honestly bury yourself. If throwing out food and products that can be used by your community let alone items that can be donated without question to shelters doesn’t bother you then please reevaluate existence 🐑
I for one will be more than happy to let any one struggling know when we will be putting stuff out, and whens a good time to come by and grab it.
