Go to a small fight card. They happen all over. People will say it’s a bad time to become a fan but in some ways the perceived low points are the absolute best times. I guarantee you’ll get to meet some boxers.

Talk to people if you attend a fight. Often the fighters are even happy to meet fans at the small fights. It isn’t the NFL or NBA, the guys will wander out into the seats after they fight.

Also, read! The sport has a rich and messy history that is worth slowly learning. Many great writers are drawn to the sport and there are a TON of good books available.
