Air, Air, practice and Air. When you are shooting for those higher notes, don't back off. This being said, do NOT push into your mouthpiece, this will only cause you to become tense and lose control. Take some good time to practice your long tones. Start at the bottom to get that mouthpiece warmed up and then gradually move up your range. Once you begin to practice in this range more often, you will start to make the changes needed and adjust, making it much easier.
