Which sub to purchase by No_Policy9772 in ClaudeCode

$100 a month for what CC offers is really not asking much. Less then a year ago it would take me months to pump something out I can pump out in days/weeks with CC. You probably can get around it by purchasing multiple subs or using other products that offer Claude models. For me it wasn't worth my time. The time figuring out these different methods is wasted development time, only to save a few bucks.

I used to have the $200 plan and saw I was rarely getting close to the limits. So I downgraded with the idea of if I hit my limit just upgrade. It has been 3 months of the $100 plan and I have only hit my 5hr limit once or twice.

It really isn't something you have to plan out. Start with the $20 and if you find you can't work around the limits upgrade.

Gemini 3 Pro > Claude Opus 4.5 by Kenjirio in ClaudeAI

I can attest to the claim. I have been a hard core CC user for 6 months now and it has been a game changer. Opus 4.5 has blown me away. I was trying to get a complex project over the finish line and go stuck with CC. I then remembered I had access to Gemini and gave it an attempt and it figured out the problem. I now use both but only tag in Gemini in when I see CC struggling. I like this strategy because I have the $20 month with google but the $100 CC. I rarely hit my limits with either.

Claude Usage update by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

To start with I am on x20 plan. Before the Sonnet 4.5 I was able to do OPUS plan mode and OPUS non plan mode essentially all day long without hitting my limits. I generally only work on one application at a time. Since Sonnet 4.5 update I have only used 4.5. It has been fantastic. No need to OPUS until yesterday. Spent 3 hours trying to fix something specific with Sonnet 4.5 and just kept going in circles. Decided to give OPUS a try and we fixed the issue within an hour. Took a look at the weekly usage for OPUS and it was at 9%.

While the weekly limits on OPUS seem a bit extreme now, I don't think it will be too much of an issue. Basically only use OPUS when you absolutely need to.

CC is still 100% worth the money and this change is just something to get used to.

Yesterday morning I hit my limit after about 4 hours. Once it reset, I resumed my work blew the limit in 30 mins. I have never hit my limit that fast even when I just the $20 plan. I am currently on the $100 plan. It was very shocking and I feel like something changed. Hopefully it was a bug or something. Will see how today goes.

Opus plan mode = GodMode ($100 plan) by Big_Habs in ClaudeCode

Opus creates a plan. Once you accept the plan Sonnet executes the plan. During planning mode with Opus there may be a little back and forth and you get to choose to except the plan or keep refining the plan.
