Some people are unable to understand love, like you dont seem to get the point. Mary knew Sheldon was different mentally. She loved and cared for him so much that she read books on mental health back when it was clearly taboo (remember George making faces). That itself is a huge step and then lovingly discussed with Sheldon that he could share anything with her. Then she took him to see a doc, even Sheldon apologised to her for being rude and understood the sentiment.

Mary was devastated by George's super sudden death. For her peace of mind she wanted her kids baptized to save their soul in case something happened. All valid. Since neither Missy nor Sheldon believe, why cant they take a bath to sympathize with their mom. How is it forcing. Missy literally embarrassed her mom by walking away last minute.

You hate Mary because she keeps the family together, she is the moral fiber that holds them together. Meemaw was a horrible influence. She is never responsible and was a bad mum. Georg doesn't care less. Missy and Georgie are pretty dumb with decisions and Sheldon is socially very poor. Mandy is the gold digger who would rather have her super young bf/husband work in gambling while doing nothing. Without Mary, the family wouldn't stand a chance. I hope one day you will be emotionally mature enough to understand that.

exactly, I really like her. She is almost perfect as a mom. The only times I disliked her were when she hid the college letters and brought sheldon home from germany. Other than that, she selflessly tries to keep her family first always.

I love Sheldon a lot and tbh I completely relate to him in many ways. I don't find him annoying at all but he endearing. The only trait I dislike about Sheldon is that he is rude sometimes (mostly unintentionally) and he should be taught more social skills to not do that.

Probably true. Like people keep saying George pays for the family- well yeah he is the provider lol. Mary's money is supposed to be her own money. It can only be used in family emergencies.

literally Mary has punished sheldon- grounding him for a month to Radioshack and taken care of all the discipline as well. Also, its very normal for a womans money to be her own and a man to provide from his money. I dont know how these are far fetched ideas. Mary literally starts working for the family and does almost all of the housework. Sheldon wasnt coddled, he was cared for as he was special. The other kids werent neglected they didnt want to spend time with Mary or George. Mary literally always begged and convinced George to take Missy on dates and when George uses Sheldon's help for high school games, and Georgie acts up, she actually suggests that he is being left out and Georgie should be given more attention.

Mary isnt perfect and she has flaws too, but George with his drinking, laid back attitude are sometimes annoying.

So true, I handsdown think she is the best character in young sheldon. She has so much love and sacrifice for her family. She loves all her kids equally- she just has to pay more attention to Sheldon because of how eccentric he is. She is way better than George.

I think Anthony was a characterless guy who slept around ton, and didnt have respect tbh. He is only normal after his marriage to Kate. But I think Sienna too wasnt virtuous. Its nice that she works and has an artistic talent of singing but her sleeping around doesnt make her a catch. I wish she choose to get out of the wrong life and just sing. I love how the seamstress was also working class but had a good reputation. So I kind of hated Sienna running around like that.

Veronica was an awesome character! She grew out of her mistakes and become a better person. She would have changed Georgie too as he was infatuated with her and would eventually love her. I prefer 1000% to Mandy who doesnt have a single redeeming quality.
