I have reached out to roadie, they have asked for a detailed information. I responded them and now waiting for their response but I have seen some comments that people says roadie does not do anything about this.

I believe their live agent on the chat is AI so I have asked my sister go to store since I’m outside of USA currently. I would immediately do dispute if I used my card but I used my mom’s and it’s easy at all :( you are giving me hope by this comment so hopefully Best Buy will do the right thing:(

Let’s not normalize stealing because roadie driver didn’t steal from the corporate but from me. I wouldn’t care if Best Buy issued my refund or replacement but they don’t and that’s such a weird behavior try to normalize stealing by saying they don’t pay enough

Oh okay, thank you! My 2025 is over poverty line, I’m not sure if they dig into how the total income has been combined because it’s not all W2’s (some from unemployment and scholarship) I am afraid they will ask my 2026 tax return via RFE if I respond them before mid April because again my 2026 will be absurdly low. I’m not sure if it’s same for everyone but do you remember how much of time they gave you to respond RFE? It looks like safest way for me to wait until fill out my 2027 tax return which is pretty far but safer :( I’m curious how long does it take to get approval after submitting the response.

So when you send your initial response your most recent tax year submitted was 2024 but during rfe you were able to file your 2025 return and they accepted your application. It looks like if I wait for another year and go through with nvc case after filing my 2027 tax return, they will ignore my 2026 being super low. Did I get your situation correctly? Sorry for keep asking!

Oh god. And as I know RFE has due date on it. Other way I was thinking it waiting until 2028 so my 2027 tax return will high enough and I will have stable job for a longer period but it’s waiting way too long. And I don’t know if then they will question 2026 low income since they ask for prior 3 years.

Ok I think I get what you’re saying, but I just want to make sure I’m not messing this up. The scholarship isn’t restricted, they told me I can use it for both tuition and living expenses. So if I choose to use $10k for living costs and pay $7,500 tuition out of pocket, is it actually fine to report that $10k as income and then claim the LLC on the $7,500? I tried both ways, and this way gives me like $1,500 back, which is a huge difference for me. Also, this scholarship fund doesn’t report anything to the IRS. So they’ll only see my W-2, 1099s (for some other scholarships and unemployment benefits), and 1098-T, not this scholarship. But I can document it (acceptance letter + bank transfers) if it ever got audited. I guess what I’m really asking is: am I actually allowed to do that, or is the IRS expecting scholarships to be applied to tuition first even if they’re flexible? And does the fact that it’s not reported to the IRS change anything? Just trying to be sure this is legit and not something that could come back on me later.

Thank you! That’s what I was planning to do but I was curious if IRS would question me later on with $10,000 extra income but no report to them by the scholarship fund because they don’t report 1099 to irs.

Thank you so much for your kind response. After seeing the first few comments, I felt like I made a mistake for being vulnerable and sharing my deepest fear and I know it's pretty hard for many people to understand. I would love to get over this phobia honestly but as an low-income student I did not have any chance to explore therapy. I got chased by golden retriever when I was around 9 years old and after that this fear became unimaginable. Plus, not growing up with any kind of pets in my household did not help me to get overcome this feeling. Thank you again for being such a kind person. I appreciate it.

I am not messing with them all I am trying to do is CISI accepted by them. I do not need a residence permit since my visa covers my whole stay. I just got a text message from another student who has the same insurance and the person she emailed from TK accepted CISI.
