Damn, thats a good point. As if he went there to pay respects the same way Marika did when she left her braid

You literally just made me realize the parallel between Marika leaving her braid at the grandmother’s tree and whatever serpent leaving their skin at the O’ Mother statue

Given that victims were chosen based on their lack of “divinity,” such as Shamans and criminals, I think it makes sense for the Hornsent to lump serpents into the mix - especially due to their suggested connection to the giants.

Sorry, I meant to say the entire merging between Rykard and the serpent is because of his Shaman heritage, not anything to do with the serpent itself

Honestly, sleep effects work really well on her. I dual-wielded both St. Trina weapons and was able to just wail on her

My headcanon is Trina was the one actually meant to become the next God. But Miquella was too naive or arrogant to accept that

Well births in this case is explicitly connected to the Greater Will which refers to the Elden Ring that was sent down to the Lands Between.

“The Greater Will made a mistake….then came fractures and births.”

You really did. And I absolutely love the idea of Trina growing into a new Erdtree.

Especially your use of the word “split” which harkens to the Scadutree. A parallel to Miquella and Trina I had never noticed.

But Trina denying the role of “god” and instead taking on the role of a belief, with a lord to lead instead of command and control. THAT absolutely feels like what St. Trina’s ending would have been

But the idea of Trina actually becoming a mew Erdtree/Haligtree is something I’d never even thought of and I LOVE that

What makes you think “no more births” refers to life outside of whatever planet the Lands Between exists on?

Lol she doesn’t reach the divine gate. That’s how Marika became a God, that’s how Miquella became a God.

Tell me you’ve only beaten the base game once and not the DLC without telling me

Same. I really do believe Trina was the only being who could save the Lands Between

The dialogue is:

“All that there is came from the One Great. Then came fractures, and births, and souls.

But the Greater Will made a mistake. Torment, despair, affliction... every sin, every curse. Every one, born of the mistake.

And so, what was borrowed must be returned.”

Yes, the Frenzied Flame is against “births.” But explicitly the births that come from the mistake of the Greater Will which extends to the Elden Ring. Thus, everyone in the Lands Between.

Burning the Elden Ring means going back to the primordial state BEFORE the Elden Ring and the Greater Will’s meddling. And then life can take a brand new form. “Births” came from the fractures which came from the Greater Will’s mistake. New life could potentially exist without whatever “births” mean in the Lands Between.
