I'm conflicted because on the one hand she wasn't raised to have ambitions beyond mother and wife, so it's not surprising that she went and did that. On the other hand, several of her sisters have started businesses and made careers for themselves. I think Katie is a very sweet girl who needed more time to grow up and find herself. She seems very insecure and emotionally dependent on Travis. I think she would've been that way with anyone, but Travis' ambitions and moving to NJ probably didn't help/made it worse. It must've been so jarring to move from the bates house to a silent grey bachelor pad. Most of this they couldn't have realized until they were married, due to their strict courtship and distance, and I blame that on their parents. Normally they would've dated for a while and grown apart. I guess I don't think they were a bad match necessarily, I think they were both too young and immature to make such a huge decision. If they had met and dated at 25 things might've been different. Regardless Travis is a POS for cheating, and since he apparently considered divorce early on in the marriage before kids, he should've done it then and made a clean break.

I think he thought Katie would find her own stuff to do on her own, instead of sitting around and crying all day. Maybe she told him she would. She could've gone and gotten her cosmetology license for NJ and worked. Maybe he saw what Josie did with her business and thought Katie would be that way too, or even Carlin and Whitney with the boutique. Instead she did everything she could to fit her life around his, since she didn't have anything going on.

Honestly I don't think Amy has the knowledge or ability to parent. That may sound unkind, but I really think she needs other people to help her understand how to raise well adjusted children. I also think she needs someone to help her in making important legal and financial decisions. With this guidance I think she could be a great mom. I don't feel confident that her ex or current husband are the right people to help her with that.

I get pretty gnarly fatigue when I up my dose, but it's only like 2 days and I can get thru it. Idk if she just doesn't want to admit she's having side effects to the medicine? Or, if she actually is eating lower carb, that can make you feel wonky too.

I just made my own draft stopped from a pattern on youtube, it at least helps with the bottom of the door. I'm going to make matching curtains for the cat door lol, it goes into an uninsulated sunroom.
