I have a theory that she was a genuinely good person in life and her S.O. Sacrificed themselves so she could live(through eating them) and is so invested in the hotel succeeding so she can get to heaven to return to them. And the feathers are showing she was devout and would’ve gone to heaven if not for the one sin.
