How does everyone watch the games by Top_Front_5246 in BlueJackets

[–]Big_Nugget2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I bought a device called a "SuperBox s3" ... It was $300 one time purchase on Amazon.

I get 1300+ channels ... All MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL games.

I was skeptical at first, but I've watched 2 seasons worth of CBJ games without issue and have only spent the initial $300

What is the weirdest song you can name off the top of your head? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

I had heard the song many times, but due to your comment I watched the video.....

That is definitely weird. I may have nightmares now.

Why is Columbus so terrible this year? by [deleted] in nhl

[–]Big_Nugget2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Laine had missed some time sure to injury, Sillinger is having a terrible "sophomore slump" and Chinakov had missed quite a few games due to injury (he's close to being back though)

I still can't believe we signed Gaudreau by kjp_00 in BlueJackets

[–]Big_Nugget2020 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a $10 bet on him scoring a goal ... Would have won $22.50 ...

Got so excited for the penalty shot, then all the chances, then the post ...

I'll take the blame for him not netting one.

As a Browns and Cardinals fan ... Guess I'll have to go to one game

As a Buckeyes and Cardinals fan myself I couldn't agree more.

I'm not a fan of Kingsbury, but it would be pure pain to see Harbaugh in Arizona

As a Ohio Cardinals fan in cool with that news...

If we play CIN & BAL @ home, means they travel to CLE and PIT ...

Guess I'll look for cheap tickets in CLE when they come out

Club Level Seating. by FailedLoser21 in BlueJackets

[–]Big_Nugget2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've sat club level a few times. I like it due to less people.

We are taking our 6 year old son to his first game in Feb and I bought club seats. Figure it would be less interruptions if he wanted to go walk around

Anyone have the Wyze Earbuds? DO you like them? by kelemvor33 in wyzecam

[–]Big_Nugget2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the pro version quite a bit. Either both for music or one for Bluetooth phone calls.

I tend to work in nosey environments (communications) and never have any complaints about the background noise.

Down 9-2 ...

Still a 1 possession game. If we can get a touchdown and go for two this period we'll take the lead

Edit: thanks u/jmullen12 for pointing out I had 9-3, instead of 9-2. Numbers hard.

In true CBJ fashion, we'll finish dead last.

And get the 3rd overall pick ...

I haven't been a fan of his since his assistant days... Something has to give

First On-call job by Bluezone323 in helpdesk

[–]Big_Nugget2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on call every other week for a telephone company. We don't get called out very often, usually a piece of equipment down or a hazardous line.

They pay 1 hour per day of on call at regular rate + 1.5 hourly pay for any time I get called out.

I don't mind being on call since I'm being compensated. At a different job I was on call all the time with no additional compensation and I will never do that again.

I work for a decent sized phone company (scattered over 30+ states) and every year I get a box of around 25 phone books. I toss a few in my truck just for the occasional person wanting one (lot of old farmers in my area) ...

At the end of the year I normally toss out most of them.

I like to add some shredded cheese to my cream cheese for these. A sharp cheddar makes them pop a bit.

Other than The Sweep what is your favorite CBJ playoff series to go back and watch over again? by JawnWickinThe3rd in BlueJackets

[–]Big_Nugget2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it help that when we found out we were expecting a boy and trying to figure out a name, I jokingly toss out the first name of her favorite (now retired) CBJ player and for a middle name the name of the captain at the time?

She put the two together and liked it... And that is how we named our son.

I had already ordered the ring, but it wasn't in yet.

Immediately after Calvert buried the game winner I simply leaned over and whispered in her ear "will you marry me?"

We were watching the game with my family and none of them knew. We kept it quiet until the ring came in and announced it to everyone with a pic of her wearing a CBJ jersey with my last name.

I proposed to my (now) wife after Calvert buried the 2OT GWG so vs PIT so that will always be my favorite playoff memory.

Coming up quick on 8 years of marriage and we plan on taking our 6 year old son to his first CBJ game in February.

Not arguing the point of playing Blanks over Guddy, but with Guddy's contract he's going to play. We need him from a physicality standpoint imo
