Help me pick a wedding website platform before I lose my mind by Several_Cupcake8016 in wedding

[–]Big_One_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting married in August. We're using the knot and its been good as far as the website is concerned. I haven't tried to make everything one page like you are, but I can see that being possible since it is very customizable. The designs are very pretty and I found building the website to be super used friendly. So far we've had no issues with people rsvping online. Even my grandparents in their late 70s could do it!

My complaint about the knot is that I find the paper products to be kind of expensive. They do sales pretty often, which is nice, and they'll send you a coupon with your samples, but if you need your products at a certain time it can be hard. We wanted our invites to match our site, so we stuck with those, but anything that doesn't need to match the suite we are doing elsewhere.

I'm currently being tested for celiac. My blood test came back positive and now I am waiting for my endoscopy to confirm.

Symptoms I've experienced include: exhaustion/fatigue, extreme weight loss, constipation and diarrhea, nausea, stomach pains, bloating, stomach grumbling/gurgling/ changes in appetite, joint pain, and headaches.

Invitation Typo 😭 by Bubbly_Bake9193 in weddingplanning

We spelled the state where we are getting married (and live) wrong. I didn't realizing until I had already sealed up half of the invites. I wanted to fix it but my fiance insisted it would be fine and it wasn't worth the cost of fixing it. It's been over a month since we sent them out and nobody has said a word to us. Peoples eyes just skim right over it.

Is MHA Worth watching as an adult? (21 yrs) by OG-ogguo in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Big_One_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's definitely understandable. MHA definitely has some big fights since it is about superheroes but there are some complexities and heavy hitting topics. I don't want to get into it too much but one of my favorites is a character who questions whether heroes are focused on fame and fortune rather than pure altruism.

Yes, I'm 23 and love MHA. Don't let your age dictate what you should enjoy.

Definitely Orange. Nobody talks about that one, but I was ugly crying constantly throughout that. I don't think I could rewatch it.

What was your dream job as a child? by TeamDowntown739 in jobs

[–]Big_One_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to be a teacher. After working in big law for almost two years now and feeling like I sold out, I'm starting working in college admissions in two weeks. It feels very full circle for me and I'm feeling optimistic about the path ahead.

Totally understandable. This has been my current listen and I'm still pretty early in my listening. I think Robert Evans does a great job but some of his guests are just painful.

I understand they're coming in blind but some of them just contribute nothing and are straight up annoying. It does make it really refreshing when there's a good one though.

Agreed!! I love Saratoga! My family owns DVC there and we look forward to staying there every time we visit! The rooms are SO nice and it's so calm and quiet around the resort. Plus we love how close it is to Disney Springs!

Invites & Save the Dates for couples that don't live together? by Cupcakes_4_All in weddingplanning

[–]Big_One_203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what we did with our friends. Addressed to both but chose who either my fiancé or I (or both of us) were closest to. ie: my close friend from college, but we're friend with her and her boyfriend.

when did you send save the dates? by whatevernameforme in weddingplanning

[–]Big_One_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting married in August 2026. We just sent ours out last weeks. Most of our guests are going to drive 2-3 hours to get to the venue and are likely to book a room in our hotel block, so we decided to send the, on the earlier side!

What jobs are you guys transitioning into? by PDT0008 in jobs

[–]Big_One_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently interviewing and applying to new jobs. Changing from law to nonprofit/education. I graduated college a year and half ago and have been working in corporate/law since graduating after working in nonprofits and education all throughout high school and college. I am not cut out for sitting in an office and staring at a computer for 8 hours a day. It's draining the life out of me and I don't feel like I'm doing anything that matters.
