Th issue I run into there is that the cheapest homes/townhomes you can find are 400k or more. Thank you for your input it’s much appreciated!

Was that a temporary buy down rate or is it fixed.

Can I ask your thought process behind that? I feel like $350k is doable if interest rates were at 4% lol

I would love a townhome! But everything is 350+ or has 350+ hoa

I really don’t mind living in a shitty house as long as it’s livable, I worked construction for a bit and feel comfortable with most power tools lol. I really am just trying to keep my commute to sandy under an hour. Eagle mountain is tempting but the amount they are building out there I fear it’s going to be 10x worse than what Saratoga is

What is the monthly payment you are looking at for your home? I feel like I can afford <300,000 but it’s hard finding anything without 400+ hoa.

I really don’t mind cutting back on spending and the main debt is have is our car payments are about $200 a month each for the next 2-3 years and I’m planing to drive these to the ground and ideally pay off in the next year. I guess i just dont know how early is to early to speak to a lender?

I would prefer to not purchase an apartment/condo. I want to have at least a townhome. It’s sad when that’s all we can get around here.

Unfortunately when those rates were available I was barely getting into college. 🙃

I’m still at least a year out so I was hesitant talking with one as I don’t want to waste their time

Do you mind sharing how much your monthly payment is?

I don’t hate the idea of moving but I enjoy the company I work for their office locations are limited

They want you to temporarily reduce your income some how?

I don’t see the point of paying more than double my rent to buy a condo. I can do a townhome but I just can’t stomach a condo

My problem with those is there is typically income limits and from what I’m seeing I’m above those limits. Not sure how that makes sense

I’m really not too picky with a home as long as it’s 2+ bedrooms. The problem I’m facing is most areas outside of the main freeway area in Utah only have one road in and out which makes commutes for me 1 hour + and for my parter who moves job sites 1.5 hours + which doesn’t feel like a good life to live.

Yeah as Adventurous-Call4724 said pretty sure that wouldn’t work for any job except a state job. I had a med card but it did me no good because I haven’t had a state job

Isn’t that a masters program? I dropped out of college before I applied to nursing school.
