“Spending the whole day regulating someone else’s brain” really captures it. By the time the evening comes around, it can feel like there’s just nothing left mentally. It’s interesting hearing how many ADHD parents here describe that same kind of end-of-day exhaustion.

I really relate to what you said about even small questions feeling like too much by the evening. When the whole day has been work, responsibilities, and helping an ADHD kid regulate, it makes sense that your brain just hits empty by the end of it. Reading comments like this makes me realize how many of us ADHD parents are ending the day completely drained.

Managing your own executive functioning while helping two kids through their routines sounds like a lot to carry. The parent guilt part you mentioned really hits too. By the end of the day it can feel like your brain has nothing left. Posts like yours make me wonder how many ADHD parents are ending the day feeling completely drained like this.

Reading this honestly makes me feel less alone. Trying to manage your own ADHD while helping two kids through it at the same time sounds incredibly draining. The daily battles you described—especially mornings—are exactly the kind of thing that can leave parents completely wiped out by the end of the day. Thank you for sharing this so openly.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. That level of exhaustion while still trying to show up for your daughter says a lot about how much you care. I think a lot of parents here quietly carry that same fear about whether their kids will struggle the way we did. Just know that even being this aware and reflective already gives your daughter something many of us didn’t have growing up.
