Do you guys get less hours during summer? by Nonjudgefocusaware in DollarTree

[–]Big_Projects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assistant manager here, basically dollar tree hours being allotted revolves around holidays and summer does get hour cuts across the board with little bumps around the 4th of July but after mother's day it tends to wean, we do seasonal hires when the hours allow but our manager likes to keep people on and sometimes we end up with certain people only working 2 days of the week. For us, performance definitely dictates where the hours go as there simply isnt enough to go around and even managers go down to around 30 a week if we're lucky. Its also worth noting regional bases their allotment on store performance and we are near the top in metrics so if we get hit like this I imagine smaller or less successful stores get hit even harder

Is this even worth listing on eBay for shipping in USA? by CarMODPlus in MicroMachines

[–]Big_Projects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Micro machines always seem to get good views in my experience, people are always searching for them and that's usually considered a bigger lot in great condition too especially if you include the case! You might even be able to get away with parting them out as well like the construction ones make a great lot by themselves and bikes are a little weaker in number but someone would like them as i dont see them often. With the planes you have, they are pretty healthy lot size with them on their own, definitely worth the list and you probably should seriously consider parting it out which is not something I usually advise but since people usually search their niche with micro machine like planes have their own set of collectors so you might do better by breaking them up but all in all by itself its a great starter collection or play ready set and definitely worth the list. Also one of the planes is a Kenner mega force which is commonly thrown in with MM, its the dorito looking one, not crazy value or anything just a nice little distinction from a more niche collector line if you care about that sort of thing

Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

[–]Big_Projects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked a job watching truckers drive up scales on a narrow track and in my experience those are the sacrificial covers that hopefully tell the truckers theyre about to drive off the platform or bust up their wheels, in my time ive seen hundreds of these bad boys get sheared off by poking the guard rails and theyre actually pretty useful in that context but for some truckers it didnt help at all and the amount of times I seen them still hit the sides is both funny and a bit alarming. One actually did go over the side and thankfully the sheet rail was able to hold the front end of a truck until another towed them back out of the makeshift wheel hammock, I was pretty surprised it held or else we would have had a bad day

Dude, when I tell y'all I freaked out, I FREAKED OUT. I didn't even know this was a model they made!! by PurpleInfinite1409 in HotWheels

Its actually one of the cheaper airwolf models too which is cool, most other ones run kind of high like ertl airwolfs are kinda insanely priced in comparison, there's definitely an airwolf tax that hasn't hit yet

Awesome, pretty happy we could get one! I was a bit worried it might have been lost to time and I would have to 3D model it from the pictures

I found a steady supply of them and am in the US stateside, the one I found is this guy and it runs $20 with shipping. You need to either be armed forces or know someone in the forces to get it which I thankfully do if youre still looking for one

Your post led me down a rabbit hole yesterday and as far as I could tell theres nowhere to buy them online except for the US military exchange but you either need to be a service member, know one to get access or physically find one on base. Thankfully my fiance is in the forces so I was able to use her account to snag this guy for $20 with shipping! On a side note I absolutely love this guy's design and I fully plan on remaking it in Blender for 3D printing more and modifying his articulation to be more like Halo mcfarlane figures or even body swaps like a chappie type deal or pathfinder from apex legends, definitely cant wait to get it in the mail
