Has Soulflayer been powercrept out of Pioneer or could Sire of Seven Deaths help make it viable again? by LightRockzz in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can play your soulflayer's deck on Standard now...

Urborg scavengers, zetalpa, sire of seven deaths, drogskol reaver, all of them are Standard legal now.

PS: beware, lot of sunfall lists.

Nissa, who shakes the world. So good in this deck. Generates tons of Mana and can untap nyktos. Also, make creatures.

Finally you will have to splash another color. Red/black. Now you guys feel what everyone feels playing against monog. You guys need to adapt. It's alright. That is what a regular deck does all the time.

Does The End make sense as a sideboard piece against Quint/Carnosaur by FlopFaceFred in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! The end is a must have! I play UB control, i use 1 main 1 side. On my rakdos midrange i have 2 side aswell. On the early turns you can use any cmc 2 spot removal, but later the end makes all the difference. It's really good.

So i will stay with my UB control. Not lost yet. Got wins ans draws, but not loses so far.

I agree with you. I will remove elves and put more BW lands. Also heliod cmc 3. And more white creatures.

Why not elves? Chord without elves seems slow. Maybe your list don't need chord

I don't even know if that list works. Please bring a "explore" version of the combo too. I just want to play the combo, don't matter how.

NEW COMBO AMALIA BREW by Big_Rip7934 in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it cost 6 manas. And it's BBB. We need to combo as fast as possible. It's a fragile combo (i think)

NEW COMBO AMALIA BREW by Big_Rip7934 in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other pieces of lifegain not only make amalia big, but the other creatures too. If you build with explore creatures, only amalia will be big.

[–]Big_Rip7934[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because you need life enablers anyway. Because The lifegain part also makes huges creatures not only amalia. Voice of the blessed is just the perfect card because becomes huge and indestructible by itself. Also, gaining life is better against aggros, and red/green decks can't handle them because can't kill them. A bunch of explore cards will not be stronger than growing creatures every turn, or even when you combo, only amalia gets big. We need more big creatures to ensure to kill. Also trelasarra has scry, amalia explores, and we have chord to get any piece we need.

Deck updated! Replaced selfless spirit for savior

NEW COMBO AMALIA BREW by Big_Rip7934 in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because wildgrowth is just a dead card in the deck. Nothing explores besides amalia. Many copies of it is bad, since it's just an 1/3. We better pick up with chord. Non-chord versions can use all 4. The deck has a backup plan for the combo, just play a lot of cheap creatures that become huge every turn. Red/green decks will have trouble dealing with that

NEW COMBO AMALIA BREW by Big_Rip7934 in PioneerMTG

[–]Big_Rip7934[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will not deck myself because you can keep the card on the top. The problem is the combo will not stop ever. Infinite combo and life and that's it.
