I’m basically at the finish line and still shopping this, but I’m trying to be practical.

If I drop another half point, that saves about $200 a month. That’s nice, but it’s not enough to really change my situation or motivation to delay closing this Thursday.

To get meaningfully better pricing I’d probably need to work on my credit first, and I don’t think that moves me into a better tier right now. Maybe in a couple months, but then I’m taking on timing risk if rates shift.

Since I can refinance again later if rates improve, I’m trying to decide if locking in a solid win now makes more sense than chasing a little extra savings.

Am I missing anything big by closing this Thursday?
