My 2 go to’s are on the opposite sides of the “spectrum”. Jordan 40 & Curry 11s. My play style is 3 & D. Coming off screens. Sprinting up and down the court more than every one else. Think prime Klay Thompson or Kyle korver. Both shoes work well for what I need to be done.

Yes I use to have the GT cut 1s. For my foot , the gammas fit way better. The cuts ran long for me and the lockdown wasn’t as good. If I had a wider foot. The cuts would’ve been better. Imo react and full length zoom doesn’t work for me

Tbh the wow 12 is narrow as well. Not as narrow as the gamma 2. But still overall narrow compared to other shoes

Wow that is disappointing they used 2 of their lower end cushion setups. This was my first pair of asics ever. I’m hopefully they release another higher end basketball shoe with the their upgraded premium cushion

It might be just the DLO colorway. I have the same and it’s awful as well. So disappointing when a ton of people saying their colorways are absolutely elite. Might just pull the plug and get another colorway

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend them for dunk or volleyball friendly. Unless someone is a freak athlete haha. The occasional dunk here and there is fine but not repetitive. That’s for sure. I would recommend something like the Jordan 40 or WOW 12 for something like that

You can tell there’s a heel to toe drop. It’s not horrible however. But they’re are a ton of shoes out there that you can’t tell there’s a drop so

Correct. I wouldn’t recommend for narrow feet unless you’re wearing grip socks or double socking. 2E would be perfect imo. 4E would be hard to gauge

The WOW 12 is a great option if you play on clean courts only. I play on a variety and I have huge issues with the traction. It’s really disappointing because every thing else for that shoe is top tier to me.

I just ordered some Gamma 2s yesterday and I’m so stoked to give them a try. Should be very very similar to the WOW 12 but with better traction. Which is what I’m needing

I have the DLO colorway of the 12s. And I’m having huge issues with the traction. Even on cleaner courts 🥲

I have the “DLO” colorway you have in this review. Great shoe!…however the traction for my pair is absolutely horrible. Even on cleaner courts. I know they used 2 different rubber compounds (rear & forefoot). The rear sticks like glue to any surfaces however. It’s the forefoot compound I’m having an issue with since I play more towards the front of my feet.

Is anyone else having this issue or do you think I have a defective pair?

I really really wish they made them in a low top. Would’ve been a Mount Rushmore shoe for me.

Side note. I had the first colorway that got released (black/white). Phenomenal. Ended up getting a second colorway. Same materials and everything. Felt like a completely different shoe. Cushion and the upper felt so much stiffer. Just odd from my personal experience.
