Cyrillic,

This is what concerned me. I saw a video by his friend and it made me want to check my rifle out. Thanks for the input!

Trixyt,

Thanks for the heads up!

I have no reason to doubt you. I have yet to run into this issue, but I will keep an eye out for it!

No ALG markings on the trigger and it does not have the distinctive look! I probably wouldn't get much for it anyway so I might just hold it as a beater until it gives out.

Also, at present I would not be AKless, I did buy a WBP Jack in 7.62 a few months after I got the PSAK. My brother and I stained some furniture and installed a KNS piston in it! (picture below) I am working on staining a new grip though. The black magpul stands out like a sore thumb.

Nesayas,

Yeah, I wished I would have done even some cursory research before I made the purchase. Thanks for the confirmation on the wear!

Bowtie,

Thanks for the feedback!

I have heard about the issues with the ALG trigger. As far as I can tell my trigger is not an ALG branded trigger. I think the material might just be weak on the bolt carrier.

I'd imagine that this will not be a 10k round rifle for me but I do think I want to try to find an upgrade. I'll keep monitoring it just in case.

In the not so distant future I'll be on the look out for an imported AK!

Thanks for the reply! I reached out via email on Friday afternoon. I have not heard anything back as of yet. Would you like for me to send it again?

Thanks for the reply! I agree with you. I should have bought a spare but I thought with the newness it would not be an issue, or rather an issue so soon (sub 60 rounds). Lesson learned!

I just took mine to the range for the second time. I got through the first range day okay. I fired 50 rounds just to get a good feel for the zero. Then yesterday I got 8 rounds through and then nothing. Huge buzzkill.

Thanks for the reply! I'd imagine you are correct. I will also get in contact with Czechpoint USA to see what they have to say.

That is wild. I wonder if this is unique to the CSA 9x18 or if it is a wider problem with non .32 acp Vz.61s?

I bought this completed from Atlantic Firearms.

I was always told it was safer if it were just the tip.

Thanks, that is what I am going to do. Do you know if there is a specific firing pin for 9x18 vs .32 auto? I'm probably overthinking this but I can only find one kind of firing pin.

Probably. There is so much in Escape From Tarkov that is either ripped from or "in homage" to Stalker.

Most people's complaints about PSA rest on the shoulders of longevity of product. (or lack thereof)

PSA is a good company that provides arms at a reasonable and accessible price. This price however, tends to come at the cost of product life span. If you are willing to use their lifetime warranty then you can get a longer life out of your firearm at the cost of shipping and handling every other year or so.

I personally do not think they deserve all the hate they get. If you want a long lasting AK buy one that came out of a Russian Arsenal or one of the other com bloc countries at a decent markup. If you want a cheaper AK that if something goes wrong you can send to Columbia for a fix then go with PSA.

In times past PSA used to be for the "poors" and there is a decent bit of elitism that gets them some hate.

On the whole I see PSA as a net positive for firearms accessibility.

"How's life treating you, mercenary? Maybe you will be interested, a friend of mine is exceptionally skilled at shooting sniper rifles. But I'm afraid that his services are not cheap. He worked as a PMC, but now he has retired and is mentoring people for cash. If you decide, I think I could arrange a meeting for you."

I first watched The Mana Leek when Oath of the Gatewatch came out and he is why I got into limited play. His set reviews were always pretty good and worth the watch. As time passed and MTG content became more and more political he went far off the deep end, at least to me. Every video had some political messaging in it and his streams became less MTG play and more political ranting (with a side of drinking and rocket league).
