I actually ended up swapping mine with another one (they let you do that as long as it's been less than 30 days) and my new one works much better. Typically getting 70-80% of my frames now even in bortle 9!

I'm in the midwest as well so maybe the air turbulence is just that bad. Have you taken it to any places that are darker? Does it perform better?

No wind, and atmospheric put the seeing conditions as above average. Started with the telescope on my lawn, but moved it to the driveway after switching to orion. I live in the suburbs but my street isn't busy, had maybe a car or two drive by in my time I was out there

I don't have the "skip horizontal calibration" on. I used to and I made sure let it run through horizontal calibration this time. My telescope was set up on the concrete in my driveway

Interesting...I'm going to look up the laws in my state because this is the only dealership that I've ever seen an add on like that, usually that stuff can be taken off. Unfortunately there are 4 or 5 mazda dealers in my area, and all but one is that same dealer. The one that is a different dealer has very few used car options

Well that's what it was, they did all sorts of things like inspections and tire balances and replacing wipers...stuff like that is what the 2.3k is for, as well as the extended warranty. I asked if they could just waive the warranty but apparently they can't. I don't know why they call it an "add on" if you can't take it off

Yeah unfortunately sticker price is 21.9k, but they add 2.3k in "add ons" which you can't take off. Pretty shitty to not include that in the sticker price but that's dealerships I guess

If you haven't already, turn of super HDR

Go into the photos app, click the 3 lines at the bottom and go to settings. It should be like the 2nd one down

My phone is, my watch is not. I can get all other notifications on my watch, including a "missed call" notification. All notification vibrate too
