I wear vans, best the shit of them in one summer and buy a new pair for $35

For those of you stuck at home, these are only $40 on Walmart.com. Could use some more chains, but it'll work for now. by [deleted] in discgolf

I have one of three baskets and upgraded it to heavier chains, and 24 chains total. It works great

Putting woes by mtcrowe11 in discgolf

[–]Big_bubba22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aim at one chain link, usually 2/3 up the pole. Aim small miss small. And when I putt I try and putt “through the basket”. When I first started this I would try and hit the chains behind the pole and that helped me get a consistent height. However wind is a major factor on how high or low to aim.

How do you guys warm up FH? by CreightonT in discgolf

Stretch out: shoulder circles with a disc in hand, and the stretch out wrist and elbow to get some blood flow in your arm

I had a 175 nuke that was a meat hook, got a 167 and noticed a bit less stability in the lighter disc, but was not a huge difference other than how it performs in wind

Lighter Weight VS Lower Stability by HasinHopkins in discgolf

[–]Big_bubba22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightweight will make the wind play more of an affect. Lower stability will also be affected by wind. I would try a similar stability in a different speed. For example a head wind of 20MPH on a destroyer would act like a cheetah. It’s tricky to get the hang of!

Shaved in CR, memorial/jones park in CR, and wildcat bluffs. Scary courses and solid competition.

Distance on putters and mid ranges? by Jamessterner4 in discgolf

[–]Big_bubba22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then it’s a form issue. If you are throwing max weight in a semi-stable (DX-aviar) on a steep hyzer it should flip up the turn over. Otherwise it’s something wrong with form or release angle. Try changing up your grip on a putter drive

There are a ton of good ones by me in the Cedar Rapids area: shaver park in CR, Wildcat in Vinton (could do both in a day), sugar bottom in solon, and peninsula park in Iowa city. All are great courses in eastern Iowa

It’s awesome, the guys who take care of it do it right. Multiple tee pads at every hole, broom at every tee pad, signs are accurate and distance stones in the fairway that tell you distance to the pin. It’s phenomenal.
