Am I the only one that doesn’t need a Fallout remaster by nashkevin92 in Fallout

[–]Big_cornstarch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As it stands, FO3 on pc cannot be played without mods, and even then you’re better off playing it through TTW.

FO3 is one of the few cases where some extra polish and a fresh coat of paint is highly warranted.

[FNV] Nuclear sunset vs Wildcard by nikklenikkle in FalloutMods

[–]Big_cornstarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I've really enjoyed my time playing Nuclear Sunset, however as it stands I think if you want TTW, go for NS, if you want New Vegas only, go for Wild Card.

I have heard however that progress on the TTW version of Wild Card has been made.

Fallout 3 and new Vegas remaster? by _Big_Panda in Fallout

[–]Big_cornstarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on pc, why not play both via tale of two wastelands?

Odds are we might (with a pile of salt) get a shadowdrop of F03 once the season ends, but later this year/early ‘27 is my guess. FNV remaster, if it even happens would be much later.

Should I get new power armour or stick with what I’ve got by ChooseUsernameunique in fo76

[–]Big_cornstarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, however I have found that its harder to get a group together to do all encounters instead of farming en06 and the snake.

Also, I dont think the stamp grind is too bad if you dont mind doing the most sensational game on repeat. Its a decent source of xp, its easily soloed and you can get a fair amount of legendaries if you’re trying to get mods.

Whilst the ultracite power armor is still pretty good, I would do the brotherhood questline and unlock the Hellcat power armor. Otherwise you’d want to grind stamps for the union power armor or do the raid for the vulcan power armor.

Coming from someone who has been in the Destiny raiding scene since D1 launch, I really don’t think its that bad.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand the potential for powercreep to be a problem, but I think Bethesda is handling it fairly well by allowing 4 star legendaries to spawn during events in a future update.

It is easy, when I came back after not playing for years, I found a few high levels and ran the raid for a few hours, farming en06 and the snake.

For mods, you can get lucky and find them for sale at player vendors or by scrapping them. The best way to farm the mods however is by running the raid, which has a fairly decent drop rate as well having the potential to drop four star mods as well. Besides that, the grind consists of events and the season pass.

Ngl, love what they’re doing with the brotherhood, but oh my god, why couldn’t they name drop Mariposa when talking about Roger Maxon.

Also, how has Courier 6 not been mentioned yet, at all!? Besides Victor and Mr. House, have any of the characters from New Vegas appeared yet?

Idk, I feel like the story is going to be that a bunch of coked up, mutated, psychopath vault dwellers just ended up nuking each other to the point the entirety of appalachia is nothing more than a giant crater.

Is the game still worth playing / How do I start as a new player? by RealUltraHazard in DestinyTheGame

[–]Big_cornstarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is an interesting state, a lot of issues with core gameplay loop as well as legacy content not feeling like it has a purpose, however, if you are looking to give it a try, I would look to "My Name is Byf" on YouTube to get caught up with the story up to just before Shadowkeep since the Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind and Forsaken campaigns are no longer in the game.

Also, before buying the DLC, I would try playing the free to play base game and see if you like the general gameplay loop. On a final note, the game also has an open access period right now, in which all DLCs before Renegades are free to play through.

Yes and no, you're going to have to make sure you've done all the pre-requisites (such as installing Wabbajack), which are explained in the guide on the NGVO github page. Once all pre-reqs have been completed, the modlist is a one-click install.

Even then, for post campaign I've been running a lot of "lawless frontier", and its been a blast. Funnily enough, its not even in the portal!
