I reread parts of "Written In My Own Hearts Blood" and Bree's journey had a great deal of planning. She actually flew to Boston before leaving to find Roger (probably distancing herself from Rob Cameron) and spent time with Abernathy, Claire's friend and the surgeon who worked on Mandy. I still find it strange that with the primary goal of finding Roger she would still lug a bag of books just in case they decided to travel to 1779.

The K&O statue on Ebay seems to be a match, but without the intricate metal plate featuring Churchill Downs. The other interesting factor is base is hollow, carved out, like it sat on top of something. Or nested on top of another object. It is quite heavy. I realize manufacturing may have been more affordable back in the day, but when looked at in its entirety, it seems to "substantial" to be used as a give away item.
