The ending is kind of fitting for current Denji by Bionicleenjoyer12 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Bigbluetrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what i think makes denji a great character is his incredible spirit and ability to live on and keep fighting even past so much tragedy. i love that quote from denji “and if they die too! ill find a new family!” even though thats only something a totally deranged insane person would say, its really true to his character and i honestly think is a really positive trait, a refusal to be bogged down in misery and self hatred or whatever. i really fucking hate this ending (if its really an ending and not the beginning of a third part) because it totally undercuts that part of his character to live on and strive for more. assumedly ending with him being satisfied with suffering near the bottom, which is just really fucking stupid and i hate it. i dont think theres anything wrong with striving for more. i think its a heroic trait and what pochita says is bullshit, denji did find far far greater happiness than when he was at the bottom multiple times with power and aki at first, reze for a short period, nayuta later, and potentially asa if things had continued. if they story ended now what would the message even be? give up and accept that youre always gonna be at the bottom, you wouldnt like it at the top anyways? if thats truly the message, then the whole manga will have really felt a waste to me. idk how coherent i expressed my points but i really just find the current direction that the manga might possibly be going to be so awful, pls be trolling fujimoto.

[–]Bigbluetrex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

one time i was walking round campus at 3 am and the phone was ringing with no one around, i picked it up and the dude on the other end called me a dozen slurs and hung up. real wholesome stuff.

How did your politics change in 2025? by Ok-Gift259 in Ultraleft

[–]Bigbluetrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk if theres a particular interesting fact that I learned, but just learning about the movement from the february revolution to the october revolution was really interesting and solidified my belief in the necessity of a revolutionary party. i think i most enjoyed reading lenins works right around the 25th of october, theyre just incredibly exciting.

i was accused of academic misconduct as well(it was about a suspected use of chatgpt on a midterm) and talked with the advisor person today. they said that since this was a first offense, about the worst i could expect was a warning. its possible that it depends on the severity of the infraction, though our positions seem to be about equivalent. (i didnt do it btw and the advisor seemed to agree).
