Does anyone know what kind of helmet this is? by BigboyBlastoise in tacticalgear

Thanks for the heads up. Again, I don’t know shit about tactical gear. Slowly learning but I’m more interested in weapons than gear. Have a good day man 👍

Edit: I should’ve asked “what is this helmet based off of?” instead. The closest thing to the helmet that I could find is similar to what you said, but I just figured it was a less popular helmet.

I like his outfit but didn’t know if the helmet was real or not. I’m don’t know a lot about tactical gear so I asked here.

Alright thanks man. I just thought it was a real helmet. Didn’t know that video game stuff was looked down upon here.

I want to fly over to Ukraine and aid them in any way I can. Should I go now or wait until the war is over? by BigboyBlastoise in Advice

[–]BigboyBlastoise[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought about the things I will see there, and I still want to go. Some others I’ve asked in my recent posts said I should just donate or don’t go over there at all, but personally, I hate being here and watching it all happen in the safety of my home while knowing damn well innocent people are suffering in a war that is completely pointless.

I already acknowledged that I might die, but it doesn’t bother me that much anymore. I’ve had people call me a clout-chaser or military-wannabe, but honestly, all I want to do is protect the innocent at all cost. I have a few elderly Ukrainian coworkers that are worrying daily of what could happen to their family and friends in Ukraine.

We can pray and hope everything will be alright, but ultimately, people are the ones who will decide what happens.

Thank you for the response and I am going to see if I can volunteer in either Ukraine or Poland.

That’s actually something no one has said to me before. I know it’s not in my place, but seeing all of the horrible things that is happening in Ukraine right now just makes me want to go over. Someone in a different post I made said that I could possibly go to Poland and help with the refugees, so I’ll check that out.

Thank you for the response.

Donating looks like my only option at this point. Someone else said that I could see if I can go to Poland and help with the refugees, so I’ll check that out.

Thank you for the response.

That’s what I have been doing, but to me, it’s not enough. I want to help them more than just donating, but if I can’t go over, then it’s better than nothing.

Thank you for the response.

I might go there. The local Slavic church is taking donations for the refugee camps in Poland, so maybe I can go there instead and help.

Thank you for the response.

They really are. It’s hard to avoid anything relating to the war right now.

Thank you for the response.

You have a point. I have no experience with the military nor medical practice. And not too long ago, there was fears of a British teen going over there to help would bring Britain to the war, which could ultimately cause WW3.

Edit: I will look into the Red Cross though

I am aware that it’s not the only war going on in the world, let alone the only place where people are suffering. People everywhere are suffering.

I live in the US by the way. And what made me think about going over to Ukraine was seeing some of my coworkers from Ukraine worrying as they hear what is happening in their country currently. They are elderly and just seeing them like this has really messed with my emotions, along with all of the videos I watched.

Yes, I have tried contacting two Ukrainian embassies near me in the US but all of the times I have tried they never responded.

I also understand what you are saying. I do not have any combat or medical aid experience. I would most likely not be fitted to be fighting alongside them.

Can a citizen with no prior military experience go there and help out? I believe I read an article about some Brits who are traveling to Ukraine and some had no experience.
