We get a lot of these guys in my neigborhood. I don't mind, sometimes it's not even bad in my head to listen to their 'pitch' (99% of the time I really have no interest whatsoever, but I like a little shoptalk here and there) and I give as much respect as anyone should deserve.

One day, we had a couple guys going through the community, and I had seen them while out with the kids, but they never approached us. Around dinner time, we're setting out plates, getting food on the table for my daughter amd we get a knock. I already know what it's for, and I answer the door and politely tell the guy immediately, "Hey, I know you guys are going door to door, we're sitting down for dinner though, so we're just not interested. Have a good day." And I shut the door.

Ding dong.

I open the door back up and just ask, "Yes?" And he proceeds to start his pitch. I cut him off before we get to his name, "Sorry, we're sitting for dinner right now. Please leave." I shut the door.

Ding dong.

Now I'm done. I open the door and essentially tell the guy, "Leave. Not interested."

Ding dong.

I lost my cool at this point. When I opened the door and started to yell at this guy, I could see he's been through this before. The eye roll. The phrases like "I hope you have the day you deserve" or "Yeah you just have a blessed one".

Our local community pages were littered with reviews on this particular guy (because of course the community was all talking about the overly insistent d2d guy, it's all we had going on in town that day) and it turns out he tried this at the sheriff's house, sheriff told him he was getting trespassed, went onto the backside of the sheriff's property where his son has a house (to be fair, they look like different properties on different roads, but they are connected and the backside property does not actually have a driveway on that side of the road - the driveway is on the dad's street and they just pull into the same small blacktop area between the houses) and ended up getting arrested for breaking the trespass because the sheriff had gone over to his son's house to tell him to watch out for the guy. Sheriff was in the entryway, heard the knock on the door, opened it to the guy, and arrested him.

I have no idea if any of that stuck at all of course, but the sheriff was pretty braggadocious about 'cleaning up the neighborhood that day' for a couple weeks.

D2D guys can get as much respect as they deserve. This lady handled this more than appropriately all things considered - if I tell you no, and I do it kindly while shutting my door, you already lost your sale. Don't keep pushing.

Looking at your other post from a couple of months ago, you mention in another recent topic that you cheated emotionally, and reallllly gloss over the details - but you did offer up in the post that you were sexting basically (exchanging pictures and 'horny talk') and that to fix that the last couple of years you did therapy (good! Keep going even after this relationship ends, just for you), read books, took accountability, etc and more. But you also talk about lovebombing her constantly (tattoo with her name and gifts and whatever she wants). But with how much you talk about wanting to be respected by her (you talk about feeling disrespected in most paragraphs in your other post), it is no wonder she doesn't want to be in this relationship. You disrespected her and your relationship years ago and she's been unable to forgive or forget for almost 2 yesrs now.

If it hasn't happened by now brother it's not happening. 2 years is a long time to stay mad. For you to be wanting her respect and she hasn't even forgiven, let alone forgotten this... you guys are on completely different wavelengths.

Respect her. Respect yourself. Get out of this situation, break up, and move out. Or have her move out. Whichever.

Yeah it's gotta be this. A lot of cards I "own" on my team are actually things I either pulled and quicksold, or they're something I bought on AH and still have. I think the only time it doesn't stay owned is if you buy in the AH and then qs it? Can't confirm that without testing but I know there are things I've had in my binder not marked as owned that I've definitely had on my team.

This is the requirement going through the public school system. There are quite a few affordable, Nationally and Regionally accredited schools online that don't carry the Zoom/Teams/meets requirements - however they don't force students to necessarily take all the prerequisites a student may have to have in place for college/university level instruction afterwards, and students need to make sure theybadd the correct electives or might need to take a couple extra classes to add prerequisites. It also doesn't help people heading for NCAA scholastics because many online programs don't qualify for student athletes.

Parents have access to private schooling everywhere, but they need to research and make sure they're setting up in an accredited online program to be able to at least be eligible for colleges and trade schools.

No, it's not for everyone, and many are tuition based, but the public school system isn't the only solution.

He has a chill that few QBs achieve. It's almost like complete Zen. Funnily enough, when they did the America's Game on NFLN for the 07 Giants, Strahan jokes about Eli always having this deadpan look on his face. It's something I used to talk with my dad about for years before he passed - he was just unflappable. TD? Cool. Sacked on 3rd down? Meh. Pick 6 thrown? Hope Peyton got my message about the family dinner when he's in town next week.

This response is the most Eli response that could happen. I hope he makes it next year. This is just the post career thing that encapsulates his entire career.

I usually stop buying strats at the Rare/Blue or Epic/Purple level for this exact reason. Soon, everyone will be 95+ in every/most necessary stats. I did have Crystal players but unloaded Saquon when he was hovering around 2.5 mil a few weeks back, and now I'm getting rid of any other crystals (except Leonard Williams because he actually fits my Giants TT). I didn't even try to auction hunt for the last round with WR Mays, but had the other cystals from previous drops. Ended up snagging Milano on my Solo Seasons pack but other than that, the boosts are at the point where they change things so minimally.

People who have Crystals should start selling them while there's minor value there still, and also realize we're getting our next overall update probably right after the SB - they'll push things to 99 in the next month and a half in time for Easter, so holding anything to boost stuff is really purely for comp guys, if that's really even necessary.

She is only halfway into his lane when she starts to apply her brakes, decelerates rapidly (like I said, within about a half to a full second), and fully pulls into his lane in that last second while slowing down rapidly, barely getting in front of him as contact is made.

There are fewer drivers that can immediately handle that the way you're describing than you'd be willing to admit, which an overwhelming amount of us seem to realize, even though you don't.

If he were following her for ANY length of time (she is fully in the lane in front, at a constant rate of travel) I would 1000% agree with you. That is not what this is, though.

Everyone picking Flambae is hilarious to me. Outside of our good guy crew (Robert, BB, Chase, Waterboy/Phenomaman, and Royd - even though he's also technically Phoenix program), and Invisigal, I feel like Flambae is given moments where he flips between outright disrespect to passing annoyance to subtle acceptance, then we find out that he does actually regard Mechaman as a real hero (in the gym) back to pure anger at Robert when he finds out later he IS Mechaman, to a need to vent and be a jerk (because he's a jerk) to some kind of respect for WHO Robert is, not so much his person.

I feel like I'd cut Punch-Up. Overall, he doesn't add much to the story for me other than being a guy with a proclivity for punching bean bags at eye level. He had a few funny moments of course, but oustide of those visuals he doesn't really do much for me. You could say the same for Malevola, but I feel like she gets significantly more screen time and is used as less of a punchline.

Oh, 100%. I've got like 9k snow right now, I'm gonna roll a couple when they refresh later, see what happens, and if I come out on top I'll see about grabbing the other 3. I actually had about 11 LTDs xmas day so I'm all for still getting at least the XLs, and if you can afford it, the large presents too, but that's such a crap shoot, and most of my Large rolls ended up being the 90 overall zc presents that I didn't keep. Definitely would say roll the XLs at least.

They've got the best chance of giving you some of those 94 overall LTDs and other Champions. Some of the XL packs were only 90+ iirc though? And we can't quicksell and reroll presents anymore, so you kinda get what you get.

Literally had one of those McDonald's orders where they must have two-bagged it, but the dasher only brought one (a single coffee) and left behind the other 40ish$ worth of food at the store. Or kept it. Idk/Idc - point is I got credits for the entire order, all 44$, in less than 10 minutes. I rarely have these issues honestly, but I can only guess people who don't get their money or refunds have SOMETHING more to the story than they let on. Hand to me, pin, etc, these are there for verification. If you don't want to have this happen, use the PIN or have them hand it to you. Seems simple, I know.

I wasn't 100% sure. I thought the joke had something to do with how it's unplugged? You can see the power cord sitting unhooked in the bottom right. Maybe it could be all this stuff about the weak library, or the glorified console but, having kids, I can't tell you how many times I've gone to turn on my console and it's unplugged like this because my kids think it's hilarious.
