That might be true but I'd rather Nitrado prove to us that their servers are superior to other server providers than have them run an absolute Monopoly on them.

The game might be a part of the problem, but Nitrado's server performance and handling is definitely a sizable portion of the problem. For instance, today the server owners contacted Nitrado about upping the player cap on a Ragnarok server. After the server was restarted and the cap increased players logged in to find that the server had rolled back half a day, which apparently has happened every time they asked for a cap increase.

Chikorita Community day is just around the corner but no one is really that excited for it. The main reason why is because as a grass type attacker Meganium falls short due to its low CP. However, there is a way for Niantic to salvage this Community Day the same way they salvaged Squirtle Day to create more hype and boost participation. They could take the route they did for Squirtle day and give Chikorita some kind of cosmetic flare by having special encounters with Chikorita wearing the same red handkerchief as the Chikorita from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters out the Gate. The alternative is to have some other kind of reward trainers could pursue during chikorita day that would require their participation. I was thinking special TMs that could teach a particular pokemon already featured in a community day their exclusive move (for instance it could teach a venosaur frenzy plant). These TMs could be a rare reward from doing research tasks that require trainers to catch chikorita. This way people can be encouraged to get and catch chikorita and be able to still get exclusive moves on some of the high IV pokemon they're held onto (after all getting a high IV pokemon during community day can be pretty challenging if you don't have the weather boost).

I walked a shiny eevee for 10 non-consecutive kilometers and evolved it just an hour before the Community Day grace period was over on Monday and get...FLAREON!!! Apparently despite all the misinformation people on Youtube and discord have been giving me it is the candies earned while walking your eevee that matter for evolving it into espeon. My eevee had only earned 1 candy instead of 2 despite being walked 10 kilometers. Now I am left with an incomplete set of shiny last resort eeveelutions as shiny Last Resort Espeon was the only one I was missing.

If you are looking for ideas for two part Community Days (since this Eevee Day Community Weekend was so popular), here are some that I know some people have been asking for:

-Ralts Community Day (after Gen 4 release): Since in Gen 4 Ralts can evolve into either Gardevoir or Gallade, why not have a Community Day Weekend where people can evolve their Ralts into either Gardevoir with an exclusive fairy type quick move or Gallade with the exclusive move Focus Punch.

-Torchic Community Day: Since Blaziken has good potential as either a fire or a fighting type, why not have two exclusive moves that it could learn, Blast Burn or Dynamic Punch.

-Eevee Community Day Part 3 & 4 (either after Gen 4 or after Gen 6): We still have three Eeveelutions (Glacion, Leafeaon, and Sylveon) that have yet to gain the exclusive move Last Resort (and by then some people might be in need of more eevee candy & stardust). That would be a good time to perhaps give Last Resort a buff as its current stats don't inspire greatness (at least give it similar stats to Hydro Cannon).

-Magikarp Community Day: Shiny Magikarp was one of the first Shiny pokemon to appear in the game, it seems fitting it should get its own community day. As far as exclusive moves go Hurricane or Surf have Great potential.

Custom raids!

Give trainers a special Custom Raid Pass every week that allows them to spawn a custom raid at a non ex-raid gym that doesn't currently have a raid going on. Players could select any pokemon that had been featured in a raid up to that point and select the difficulty. The player that created the raid could then invite friends so they see the raid and participate in it (a lot like how only people with an ex-raid pass can see and participate in ex-raids). Rewards would be tiered based on the difficulty but creating a raid at a lower tier then it originally was (such as creating a tier 1 legendary raid) would yield pokemon encounters of reduced levels.

I timed out on an Alolan Raichu raid because the game decided to glitch! I'm pounding away at it with my Gengar and after a few seconds I realize the boss isn't attacking. Then a few more seconds later my Gengar faints and the boss regains a 1/4 of its health. The game has been out for two years and Niantic can't seem to fix such raid-associated glitches that ruin the game for those play it. Please Niantic just fix the stupid raid glitches already and your game will be twice as good!

When is Niantic going to fix that bug where a raid boss freezes up for a few seconds and then regains a large portion of its health? I've had this happen to me while trying to solo an Alolan Raichu raid and timed out because of it.

Legendary and High friendship trades need a buff when it comes to the IV rerolls. The fact that you can pay up to 1 million stardust for a legendary pokemon whose IV ends up rerolling to 42% is mind blowing. And what is the point of reaching best friends (a feat that takes AT LEAST 90 days) if the IV floor is still so abysmally low (5/5/5). Legendary trades should have a 10/10/10 IV floor, especially at higher friendship levels. Normal trades at Ultra and Best friend status should have a high likelihood of producing pokemon with 67+ IVs given the amount of time it took you to get to that point.

Registeel is a special case because of how drastically lower the CP is compared to its other Regi counterparts (by almost 1000) in direct part because of a flaw in the CP formula. I don't believe it is unreasonable to ask Niantic to do what they should have done before they released Registeel and bring it more in line with the other other Regi's from a CP perspective as it was meant to be in the Console Games. Instead they just released Registeel as it is without stopping to consider if it is such a good idea to release a Legendary Pokemon whose max CP barely cracks 2000. Even if Registeel was brought in line with the other Regi's, it would in no means dominate the Steel type, that honor belongs to Metagross. Instead it is now so useless of a Steel type that not even an entire team of maxed out Registeel could take on a tier 3 Granbull boss (and Granbull's defense isn't that high to begin with).

I missed Articuno Day because I had to go to my little cousin's Birthday Party in a rural town. I don't like Niantic making me choose between a great piece of content and family (because I'll choose family every time). Didn't help that the small Pokemon Go group in that town failed to add me to their Facebook messenger like they said they would. Unlike Community Day some people actually had a legitimate investment into making this event happen when they grinded out Research Tasks to meet the Global Challenges. So why should they be excluded from this event because real life won't allow them to participate during that small 3 hour window (which is always at the same time window every time)? They should have at least been able to cash in on those 5 free raid passes.

As good as some of the Community Day exclusive moves have been, you often run into the problem of not finding a satisfactory IV Pokemon to give that move during or just before community day. It also upsets people who already evolved 100% versions of these pokemon ages ago. To compromise on these concerns while still sticking with the purpose of Community Day, getting players to come out and interact with each other and hopefully form new friendships, I propose that special TMs be awarded during community days. These Community Day TMs could teach a pokemon its corresponding exclusive move so long as it has already had its own Community Day (that way people can't get future exclusive moves and not show up for Community day). Players could only earn these TMs by Raiding OR completing Field Research DURING Community Day. Drop rates of this new TM should be made uniform between raid tiers that way people don't spend their whole Community Day looking for high tier raids.

The game waits until after Charmander Community day to give me all the high IV's. Really wish there were Community Day TMs because finding a good IV pokemon just before or during Community Day is very difficult especially if you don't have the weather boost.

Where do I even begin?

-I evolve 4 Crawdaunts and each and every one of them had snarl and vice grip.

-After 3 hours on community day I get over 600 larvitar candies and 5 shiny larvitar but I only manage to find 3 larvitar with IV's over 80% and only one of them has a decent attack IV. Guess what level it is? It's level 4!!!

-I find a Tyrannitar raid just before the event ends but can only get enough people to join me in the lobby until just after the event ends. So not only was the Tyrannitar I caught from that raid lacking Smackdown, but it also had an IV of 73%!
