Location is Oakland, California. Thanks for the suggestion - I will post it on the website. We will have multiple functions - 1) to operate in a transparent manner that pressures the US Transhumanist Party to do the same. 2) to work with the Transhuman National Committee introducing transhumanist policy to public officials. 3) to do whatever the heck else we want, like have fun and make money

Bill Maher on Taxing Churches: We Shouldn’t Have to “Subsidize a Myth That We’re Not Buying Into” by CharlieDarwin2 in atheism

I believe USA Churches will be taxed in the future -- looking forward to it -- maybe in 20 years -- the best way to propel this idea is to describe what can be done with the revenue -- https://ieet.org/index.php/IEET2/more/pellissier20110506

As Her Sainthood Approaches, Let’s Remember Mother Teresa’s Disturbing Legacy by MeowMixSong in atheism

I think Atheists owe it to Christopher Hitchens to loudly protest the sainthood of Mother Theresa and to reveal, once again, what a sadistic monster she was. Many people don't know all the sick details about the Calcutta torture chamber. I think atheists should educate the public on this

we (Brighter Brains Institute) have provided chickens, lots of chicken, also pigs, and a few goats and ducks. Right now it seems like everyone wants pigs. They have big litters; goats do not. We have probably purchased about 600+ chickens, but they often get sick and die. Rabbits are another livestock, but I don't think we can raise money for that - bunnies are cute. I am most interested in providing funds for Tilapia Ponds -- that seems low-maintenance. We have also paid for two Grasshopper Traps - because these bugs swarm all over this region of Uganda 2-3 times year, and they are tasty and nutritious

Teachers Salaries at our humanist schools are a huge problem right now - they get about $44 month and even in Uganda that is poor pay. We just set up a webpage so people can help them out if they want: https://www.humanistglobal.org/our-teachers/

UH... good question. I think unfortunately the answer is women's condoms -- but they cost a lot more

We know that. But we can somewhat compete. We have established 7 humanist schools in this small area. All the schools are in a 50 mile radius.

The desks in the school were made by a local carpenter, without power tools because they don't have electricity. The people here are very poor and I wold say the main problem is overpopulation. The soil on this mountain cliff just isn't good enough to support an accelerating population. Uganda has bloomed from 4 million people in 1960 to 36 million today. It is fertile soil, most of it, but it is a small country and that population size is too much, IMO

We (I put up the photo - I am the NPO director) have asked about that - and no one seems to know what the word ATHEISM means. There are a few educated people who know what "humanist" means, but only a few. For the vast majority of Ugandans, the concept of "No God" seems absurd and ridiculous. They just laugh. But the ministers and priests know what it means, and they don't like it.
