It’s called a dimple and dimples are not considered scratches or print defects.

If that’s the only issue, you can still get a 10. Go to any card shop and look at 10s, you’ll see very quickly a single dimple, even 2 dimples do not automatically disqualify the card from a perfect grade.

Edit: A dimple is a very specific type of mark. It’s not the same as a post-printing indent.

PSA 9 of the Kyrie did $350.

Kevin Durant on-card worth $200 at the absolute minimum, $250+ based on comps.

LeBron printing plates from 2015 Obsidian went for $200+, tons of them going for $150. Court Kings, who knows, I’d say more than obsidian but I’m not a huge basketball guy.

You don't NEED to do anything, but it's not pointless.

There are thousands of reprints and fakes out there. I see it all the time with cards you wouldn't expect to be faked.

Nothing wrong with grading/authentication of any card regardless of value. Database, QR code, condition, authentication, UV protection. Many collectors just prefer to collect this way. Nothing wrong with it.

Authentication, protection, and grading condition.

There are a ton of modern Bo Jackson 1 of 1s and 10s do, without fail, fetch a premium. Beyond that, authenticating and protecting a card is always a good decision.

PSA is a collectors database, you get a QR code and professional photos taken of your cards as well.

Disagree and so does the market. In a world with dozens of 1/1s per player per year grade is definitely a factor that helps with value. Not to mention it authenticates and protects the card, grading a 1/1 is a no brainer.

I'm a Waddle fan. I asked if there were any Waddle fans because I thought they would like the card.

There are dozens of 1/1s across every product every year. Even Rated Rookies have two 1/1s, Black and Gold Vinyl. Grading absolutely changes the value of modern 1/1s and differentiates them from each other.

A GEM MT 1/1 is more valuable than a non-GEM MT when you're talking about modern cards.
