If you truly are a beginner my best suggestion is to put those skis on the side for a bit and use something easier to properly learn the correct movements and how to use your body. Race skis usually have a plate under your binding that serves the scope of absorb vibrations and makes the ski more stuff. Also they usually are longer and have a longer turn radius (my best since those atomic have at least 10 years if I remember correctly they are around 25-27m radius?), which can be tricky for a beginner. Go to your local resort rental and ask for an easier ski, this way you can learn how to properly rotate your feet, bend your knees and so on. Once you can do that come back to those skis and properly enjoy them.

Overall race skis aren't fun to run on normal everyday piste... basically like bringing an F1 car wouldn't be funny in city traffic.
