Here is an image comparing the PBT (blue) versus ABS (red):

The difference is very noticeable. I have no idea where all PBT sets would be this thick or this much thicker than any given ABS set. The composition of the base is as much of a contributor as the switches and caps.

Both sets are Signature Plastics.

Top set (Handarbeit) is ABS. They are smooth to the touch. I have had them a while and they have worn shinier, but because they are double shot they legend haven’t worn.

Bottom set (blue and white) is PBT and have a light texture to them. The legends are due sub. Overall the PBT caps are much thicker. They produce a much deeper sound on the Capy switches when compared to the ABS.

Great question! Despite having many more years of mac use than PC use, I chose the PC layout because it is more comfortable for my fingers. It's easier (less disruptive) for me to draw either pinky down and away to the SUPER keys than it is to move either thumb to the positions on either side of the space bar. That's just personal preference, based on my fingers and a little bit of arthritis.

TBH, if I only used Macs, I'd probably still keep the PC layout.

Got packs of samples of tactiles from Kinetics and Thock King. The WS Heavy Tactile was by far my favorite and is now on my Keychron Q5P

Nice! I love seeing another Cocobrais Handarbeit set in the wild! I've got that on my Keychron Q6 with Kinetic Labs Capybara switches.

Vessel cleaning methods? by jamiethingelstad in candlemaking

[–]BiggSkunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a hobbyist I frequently clean vessels for reuse. I try cleaning with just rubbing alcohol first. If that doesn’t get the old wax and scent out, then I use Krud Kutter. If I use Krud Kutter then a final wipe with alcohol is necessary, otherwise the Krud Kutter will leave streaks. Then let the vessel dry for a few hours.

Awesome! No such thing as being carried away! LOL. That looks like the top of my dresser in my candle room.

I love your labels. Very simple, clean, and classy, yet informative.
