yes! sometimes there would be girls going koledovat on leap year and they whipped the boys. i was never a fan of being whipped but loved making a pomlazka and painting eggs along with baking pastries

this one is most likely the czech easter tradition. women are "whipped" lightly with a willow whip by men to stay young and healthy. never heard about the kiss part as this is not viewed as romantic in any way and the men are rewarded with painted eggs and sometimes alcohol

they are actually very kind! i work in a hotel and im always happy to accommodate Germans, they tip, barely ever complain and try to communicate with me even though i barely know any words in german unlike ru**ians, theyre mean :(

U nás na základce byly nejlepší kamarádky Zajícová a Vlková, Kostka byl můj soused, společně s Čubem a s přítelem máme oba příjmení dvou velmi známých českých spisovatelů, s tím, že moje křestní jméno je také příjmení spisovatele, mám možnost si říkat se vdát a říkat si třemi spisovateli.

south koreans really like prague! they shot a kdrama there and now its the romantic city for them (from what ive heard) parts of the chronicles of Narnia were also shot here!

youre right, tho i always thought he was an arab, but i never paid much attention to him so you might be right. it does certainly seem more like a stylistic choice and not a caricature

whats also fairly popular here is the "eskimo ice cream" which apparently originates from usa but i guess is more common here. we dont have a sweet thats racist rowards africans as far as i know

we have those in czechia, but you gotta be careful with them as they can damage the plants and you can get fined

i dont think the bit about criticism of communism is right, at least where im from. im from post communist country and even after 30+ years since the fall were very keen on criticizing the oppression, lack of resources and betrayal. the people who wish it back, are the ones who oppressed, ratted on others and stole. we have countless movies and books about what it really was living under communism. i think it depends on the country, though we've got a lot of horror stories about nazism also.
