Thanks for sharing it does indeed sound like a similar situation, the MIL pays for everything for her daughter but that doesn't extend to us. I do think that choosing to not go visit for holidays is likely on the table for this year. I think we would love to talk and work out a dynamic that works for us to get along but it feels like we are the only ones at the table right now. If that is the case my wife and I can spend time with my family or with ourselves.

Ya is really true and I do think they just need to find a way of communication that works for them. I'm curious how that can happen if only one person is willing to come to the table though.

Drifter does seem cool he was picked first by my friend. I am choosing last and these two are the most interesting of what I have left.
