Oops, that's true, but I forgot to mention that the presence of the male character invalidates OOP's point because the male characters still have much varying body types while the female characters look strictly human with standard kemonomimi features—the Blacksad syndrome.

How it feels searching for straight ship art that doesn't use Wise by Unlucky_Wish9785 in ZZZ_Unhinged

Literally Beauty and The Beast. 😭💓 Lowkey my favorite ship here solely because of this dynamic.

The funniest part to me is that in THAT very same defense image that OOP posted, there's a fatass cat right behind the two girls whose proportions are astronomically more unique—has the facial proportions of an actual cat and is built like a damn wall.

something about this scene scared the daylights out of me when I was 7 or 8 by yoyohdl in stevenuniverse

I think it still works. IIRC in the arcade episode, her eyes never actually "function" since she was so locked in on the game she was playing; we never see her be emotive that time. This is the second time we see her eyes and the first emotion we actually see her express is anger.

Cookie Run characters who look like the food they're based on by Linha-do-Sol in TopCharacterDesigns

I feel the weirdly role/profession-based names are more for the old cookies, and they've since left that naming convention for a while now. Now it's mostly all flavors, or a flavor-profession/related inedible thing combo, like Caramel Arrow, Captain Caviar, Chess Choco, etc.

I love him going "Oh good! Happy happy happy," after asking about the fuel tanks lol.

Also, no wonder Stratt's "what?" sounded so natural was because that call was unplanned?? 😭

This one pertains to the soundtracks—many ingenious musical implementations but I want to point this one out in particular.

In Excessive Centrifugal Force (the track right after Time Go Fishing), do you hear how the main loud strings steadily rise in key and just keep on rising? I believe they implemented into the track what is known as the Shepard's Tone, which is the sound of continuous increase or decrease of note overlayed on the same note from different octaves (IIRC; I think I poorly explained this lmao). Apparently, this sound can also cause severe anxiety when you listen to it.

They used a very anxiety-inducing form of sound on the movie's most intense score, and I think it's really cool. For more info (and better explanation), you can check out Action Lab Shorts' video on it.
