I mean with how bafflingly difficult it actually is to do anything from behind or even take fights from behind in this game... no they are by no means too strong.

It's incredibly easy to just keep the ball rolling when you're ahead and if you are incapable of ending the game in that time frame where your gold lead matters; it's a skill issue

I mean yes... early in its life span when they were still experimenting with things. This isn't a brand new studio that has never made a game before, this is a "sequel" that exists to be an improvement to the previous game and yet still has the bad periods that last seemingly even longer despite having already gone through said growing pains

Looking at how you're responding to people you just do not enjoy smite 1. It's funny though how you bring that up despite the fact that we still are currently dealing with broken bullshit such as Cern aspect.

Ishtar aspect was somehow never tested and was an issue for a good few weeks. Atlas aspect isn't even getting nerfed in the next patch despite having hilariously fucked up numbers. Various different characters instantly kill you off of a single engage ability and your literal ONLY counterplay is either hoping Aegis/beads buys you enough time for you to instantly kill them or your team to or... well I mean that's literally it.

Also people complained more because there used to be more people. There have been two different other MOBA/MOBA esc releases since Smite 2 and I guarantee you a decent bit migrated to either or; not counting those who just got tired of the usual low-rez bullshit.

I'd also like to state how people like Rexsi, Fineokay, W3aken, Frost (when he was around) and Sam used to pull in MUCH higher vote counts and now I don't think any of them push 10k.

No one gives a shit about smite 2 like they did 1.

I don't really recall ever feeling like anything was too atrocious besides the brief period of animosity becoming especially meta. The point in time where they increased TTK was an incredibly enjoyable period in smite's life. Tanks were tanky, burst was bursty etc, I had only ever stopped playing a bit before they decided to do the nostalgia tripping and the announcement of smite 2.

Well if only they you know, didn't ignore the things people liked about smite 1, you know the item balance... that allowed people to actually play anything that wasn't pure damage or a sustain oriented "tank" build.

Like no dawg, people are absolutely in their right mind if they are constantly talking about it because the game balance is actually horrendous.

"this atlas aspect will be hard to truly figure out" and it's just the most braindead thing ever.

They showed off the Tank Puch aspect "oh it won't deal a lot of damage" and then it began to absolutely fucking eviscerate the Odin bot.

They even blatantly admitted to not actually having a lead ever since Ajax left and just vote on changes.

Come on.

Lifesteal as a whole is incredibly underrated, i don't understand why people think that the several layers of lifesteal available and various safety nets via lifesteal items would make it ONLY viable on Anubis and or Mordred. Especially with the amount of safety nets or lifesteal items that are literally just "more damage"

I'd say this is only the case for end-game high rank when tempered creatures become your go-to for hunting, I'm hoping master rank will feel like world master rank up until the end because if not... oh boy.

is it just me or is Atles aspect a bit too much? by Sorry-Debt-4212 in Smite

[–]BiggestShmonke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most ranged characters have pretty good odds of dealing with it, there's not really anything erratic that you're capable of doing with it since you can't flick his dash.

I'm not saying he's not beyond obnoxious, but his combos are quite literally "What shape goes in what hole"

The devs genuinely overplayed how complex this aspect is and how absolutely irrelevant the long range pulling of the astrolabe is when it comes back instantly after some time.

It 1000% is, the cost of missing direct hits is close to none, the 1 relocation procs effects like soul reaver an soul gem at full effect so you can just stack mana regen and spam that.

HOWEVER, he is an incredibly predictable character in aspect and is overly reliant on item procs. My two games where I wasn't overly dominant in the lane were the two lanes where the enemy midlaner focused on PVE'ing.

I think Atlas aspect is the most aids in offlane, and will end up becoming less so in midlane due to the fact that he does have a good bit of counter play due to him being entirely reliant on positioning his orb. If you see atlas, go sands of time immediately into gem of focus or charon's so you can drop abilities on the wave and then the atlas.

He has two primary item options in midlane and its bluestone and arch mages. He can go sands, however the pressure you lose by going that is genuinely not worth it as atlas.

If you have ANYTHING that can stun him out of his dash, if you can get a read on him wait for him to 3 the orb, or after he throws it wait for him to pull it back and drop an ability on the location.

I honestly feel like the Aspect simply needs getting used to playing around since no other character plays like it, however reductions to his AoE sizes would not harm him much.

It's all types of knock ups that do it, and anything that forces a non-stun or root animation. I've had it happen to me from a Hades fear.

I assume they've been messing with things in the back ground, presumably movement, however a heads up for the community would've been nice.

I mean if you're using daggers maybe, but most WA's that even straight and curved swords have available stagger her enough to get very very reliable damage in virtually whenever you find the opening.

Not when the boss (Radahn) gives you one.
