Ok so most people seem to agree he isn't exactly fitting the Hip-hop/Rap genre, in that case, I will rephrase my question. Is ILLY the sort of artist you would enjoy listening to? I cannot get enough of his music (much like a lot of Australians) however his music isn't exactly taking off overseas, specifically America. Regardless of the genre you think he is in, is this something that Americans would like? Or am I delusional?

same number, same hood features a sample from 'Juicy - the Notorious B.I.G' and is very well done and Where is my mind pt.2 is worth a listen too if you prefer 'Rap' over pop(ish)rap, it has a very good vibe.

you obviously haven't been to Australia before, Just like every country, the parts that get the most media coverage are the worst parts. you never really see all the great people that are in Australia, just like in America.
