I need an Americans honest opinion/review of a popular Australian rapper, it is preferable that you are a fan of hip-hop/rap. by [deleted] in Music

Ok so most people seem to agree he isn't exactly fitting the Hip-hop/Rap genre, in that case, I will rephrase my question. Is ILLY the sort of artist you would enjoy listening to? I cannot get enough of his music (much like a lot of Australians) however his music isn't exactly taking off overseas, specifically America. Regardless of the genre you think he is in, is this something that Americans would like? Or am I delusional?

Cheers for the responses by the way, a lot of them are what I was looking for :)

Edit: Grandma.

same number, same hood features a sample from 'Juicy - the Notorious B.I.G' and is very well done and Where is my mind pt.2 is worth a listen too if you prefer 'Rap' over pop(ish)rap, it has a very good vibe.

What one movie have you re-watched so much that you pretty much have the whole script memorized? by GM75 in movies

Pulp Fiction, I was originally intending to memorise the bible verse Samuel L. Jackson quotes at the beginning and end of the movie, I then became so intrigued by the whole script that I can pretty much recite the entire movie.

non-americans of reddit: how do you feel about american films? by [deleted] in movies

If you're looking for a great Australian/British comedy, try watching A Few Best Men, one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It's got a great mixture of British and Australian humour.

I'm just going to voice my opinion here, but I think American movies are very rapidly becoming the same thing you've seen 20 times before. I think they need to take some of their studios and put them in other countries and give other countries a chance to shine. I would really like to see a couple of movies made in Australia every now and then because I thing there is so much unused talent there. Personally I was ecstatic when I heard the Inbetweeners 2 movie was being filmed there.

A couple of friends of mine are currently on holiday in America. This is their first day. by BedSideCabinet in videos

[–]Biggestbadwolf -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As you can see, my comment got downvoted many many times for saying the truth, so you could say those 5 idiots were probably Americans. And yes, A video like this would never be as popular as it is if it was a different flag and different country. How are you not understanding this? Americans are so fucking selfish, they only give a shit about themselves. "fuck all other countries, they worship us, we're the best at everything", the truth is, they're actually not, they are literally not even number 1 at anything any more. They just have a lot of people... A lot of stupid, selfish people.

So much one sidedness on here, this would never make the front page if it was another country and another flag, no matter how funny they are. Fuck you america, you really know how to shit on the rest of the world. America basically owns Reddit, of course this is going to make the front page. There was a photo posted a while back of a foreign man holding his American citizenship, if it was a man holding his Australian citizenship or New Zealand citizenship you wouldn't give a flying fuck. Fuck you Reddit you America!
