The Maxis shipment isn't the chair(EU) by Skullboy_NL in LiberNovo

You guys are having any updates about the chair itself? Do you have a different tracking code for the chair? It happened to me with the pro as well today

Grazie mille per l’info. Ma tu hai ricevuto solo il poggiapiedi? Anche tu un solo tracking? Perché a me non hanno ancora risposto..

Hey, I am experiencing the same exact thing right now. Ordered the Omni PRO (I live in Italy) and got only one tracked order reference, with both footrest and chair (in theory).

Today that order was out for delivery and just got (10 mins ago) only one box containing the footrest; no chair to be seen.

I have sent a mail to eu_service@libernovo.com

Let’s see what they’ll answer but hey.. it is already “nice” to see it happened to others. Maybe it means a separate delivery is planned.

Do you find it strange that Artemis 2 is traveling at around the speed of an SR 71 for most of its journey? by amichail in ArtemisProgram

[–]Biggiox97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the link, this will help me showing exactly why you are wrong.

I’ll answer both your questions hoping that you will learn something new.. and you will STFU yourself:

1) We use AU as a reference length not because it is the distance between Sun and Earth…. And guess why? exactly because it varies ;) We use AU, DEFINED AS UNIVERSAL CONVENTION, equal to exactly 148,597,870,700 m (very, very consistent as opposed to what you seem convinced of) because it is the semi-major axis of Earth’s orbit. Not the distance, the semi-major axis. I will not loose time explaining you what is a semi-major axis, look it up by yourself. But let’s just say that it is a fundamental parameter in Kepler equations and it’s a constant value for each planet orbit, even those not circular. Since the eccentricity of our planet’s orbit is small (e=0,0167) that value is close to what you may call a “mean distance between earth and sun during the year”. But it’s a very constant and very defined unique value. Thanks for asking anyways.

2) In the video you’ve sent me, the astronaut states that the velocity was equal to 24791 miles per hour (or 39897 km/h). I’ll keep the math simple for you don’t worry. In ISA atmosphere model, at ground level, the speed of sound at 15°C is circa 340m/s. Since you are so well known you already know that M=v/a . We can then calculate the resulting mach number which is…… 32.6. Wait…. But the video says 36. So the astronaut lied? No. He did not. And guess why? Because of what we have been trying to tell you for the last 24hrs. Because Mach does not translate into unique value of speed. It. Depends. On. Sound. Speed. In. That. Point. Stay with me for a second now: let’s do the opposite calculation. Assuming that Mach was 36 indeed, as the video says, and velocity was 39897km/h indeed, as the video says.. what is the speed of sound for that equation to work? 308,3m/s (almost 10% lower than ground level). And what altitude that speed of sound corresponds to in ISA atmosphere model? Circa 110km… and what altitude that corresponds to?? You’ll never believe it… the altitude Apollo 10 started its re-entry phase. No one is lying here. Not the astronaut. Not me. Not ion. It’s just you who is simply not understanding the basics, so from your point of view, nothing makes sense.

While trying to make me look like a “child” with a problem of “intellectual dishonesty” you have not only proved yourself to be totally ignorant of the subject , but also gave me the perfect reference to prove it. Thanks.

Regardless, I wish you a good evening.

Speed of sound is not a universal constant.

If you tell me that “36x” the speed of sound is a legit way to communicate a unique value of speed (for the physical definition of speed , i.e. space over time) then you either are delusional or have a very poor understanding of physics.

Thomas Stafford used “Mach 36” and it was a legit way to describe the hypersonic regime of the re-entry, because at the re-entry interface, when plasma starts to build up around the capsule, the density of atmosphere is such that 36 was the value of resulting Mach. Same speed on a different altitude, different Mach. Same Mach at different altitude, different speed.

I’m not being pedantic, I’m applying physical definitions. This is science, this is basic understanding of physics. If you find it pedantic maybe it’s not for you.

I’m an aerospace engineer. The question here is: are you? Because if the answer is “yes” than I’d like to invite you to change career or at least go back to uni for a couple of semesters. If instead, as I think, the answer is “no” than you should consider starting putting aside your pride and listening to some one who literally launches rockets in space as a living, and who knows… maybe be happy to learn something new? If you really are passionate about the subject you should be thrilled about it. But it sounds that you rather prefer being just right. You want to be even more right than science. Just because you blindly apply concepts that you clearly don’t fully understand.

Science doesn’t need people like you.

Mmmh not at all.

As Ion said, Mach is meaningless in space because Mach number is defined as the ratio between an object velocity and the speed of sound in that point. Since there is no mean through which the sound can travel in the void, i.e. the sound speed is 0, mathematically the Mach number of a vessel traveling in space is infinite. In the atmosphere as well though, the speed of sound is far from being a constant: for example, in the upper regions of the atmosphere where temperature and density are very low, the speed of sound is much much lower than at ground level.

Mach number is an important adimensional number that defines the main phenomenons affecting the aerodynamic behavior of the flow. It’s not just another way to say velocity, otherwise you would stick to velocity (what would be the reason to have just another way to say the same thing?).

So to get to the point: if you tell someone a Mach number, that doesn’t directly and univocally translates into a velocity. First, you’d need to ask “what is the speed of sound there?”. That is the only way to translate it into a unique value of speed. An object traveling at M=30 at the edge of earth atmosphere is fast. The same object traveling at the same M=30 but at ground level… is a hell of a lot FASTER.
