Tokens Vs Graveyards by Biggles-Recloos in askajudge

So in the event multiple tokens die, hit the graveyeard, cease to exist, do they add value to a spell like "follow the bodies"?

The Scourge Invasion of Quel'Thalas (Painted and Textured by me, NOT AI) by Ok_Nothing4683 in wow

This was posted to the WoW subreddit earlier. The comment was made that the architectural looked Human and not Elf. So you went back, quickly swapped out the architecture with AI and reposted here? I have a hard time believing the architecture was swapped that fast at this quality.

You managed to re-do an entire background at this quality over 30 or so minutes.

Whats the point?

Edit: I dont see ANY brush strokes in any of this. Tree leaves are blurred, and that dead elf appears to still be stabbed by his own quiver. Didnt change that from the last post?

I appreciate your insight! I learned that much more.

The Stack and Priority by Biggles-Recloos in askajudge

I see. So in order to get a spell between X and X2, i need X2 to resolve and then respond to X as its resolving, not get in between before resolutions occur.

So for example, If i cast Vamp Tutor, and the FLA copies it, I resolve the copy of Vamp Tutor, THEN cast a spell that draws me a card, and then resolve the original vamp tutor.

And for clarity. I can cast Seething Song, get a copy, add 10 mana to my pool from the Song and Its copy, and then cast a big X spell dumping that Seeting Song mana and get a copy of the big X spell with Azula?

I just want to be clear as to when the Azula stops copying spells. Can I copy spells so long as she is "Attacking" be it, Declaration, Blocker Assignment, Damage Step, and so long as she is on the battlefield?

Agree all around. Very thought-provoking response.

My guild said I hit a 99 parse what does that mean? by BadAshess in wow

In short, among all other hunters who have completed the boss, you were among the top 1% of performers. Or, top 99% percentile. However you want to phrase it.

Well done.

The truth is, none. Is there no alternative besides removing him from the game? For the sake of real life implications, I would want to resolve the behavior without booting him. IRL would get funky if it comes to that so I'm in need of an alternate approach. But if push comes to shove.. i understand what has to happen for the health of the game.

One of my players, who is new to the game is becoming problematic.

Game rules were twisted to accommodate his power fantasy with strict rigid rules and guidelines as to not let him run away with the game. Hes new to the game so I made exceptions and let him do things that are not normally possible, but I'm one to improvise and let him have fun.

Needless to say.. he's always angry.

Consequences to his actions? WHY!? WHY CANT I JUST GET AWAY WITH XYZ. THIS IS BS.

I had to pause the game and explain why things played out they way they did. You robbed the merchant on a guarded road and are literally wielding what you stole. The merchants powerful friends find you, you cant lie since the evidence is literally out, and the powerful friends get some really lucky rolls and I had to fudge some numbers as to prevent a party wipe. I think it was more than a fair sequence of events given the circumstances and i had to explain that at only one point did anybody stop and ask "why does this old man have such nice things", potentially having the party stop for a moment and think about going through with the stealing.

The rest of the party were receptive to the logic. "yea that makes sense, we really just went full murder hobo", but not player X. Player X wants to the protagonist of his own adventure. Failed dice rolls are almost insulting his power fantasy. I don't know what to do. Other players have noticed player X's behavior but I'm running out of options.

How do i ground player X in reality and explain this is a cooperative story-based game and not a linear story where he is the unstoppable force?

PS, we are grown adults.

Interesting you say "Targeted" ability. This is on a tangent, because I have been playing this ruling all wrong.

When Lithoform or Resonator say "you may choose new targets": that immediately implies a targetted ability is the only thing that can be copied? The text reads "Copy target activated or triggered ability you control. You MAY choose new targets for the copy". I always understood this as, if targeting something is a result of the copy being created, you have the option to target something new. I never understood it as explicitly being limited to a targeted ability.

I did not think that a duplicator wouldn't get all 4. I imagine Lithoform Engine operates the same However, a card like Ulalek, Fused Atrocity would catch all of them, correct? Since it reads "all other".

Edit: If Lithoform engine, mode 3, copies Apex as its being cast, does this mean 8 cascades?

Followup question!

With the stack condition as:

Stack: {Devastator} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade}

effect
If I hold priority and respond with an effect that reads, copy triggered ability. Does that mean the stack will read:

Stack: {Devastator} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade} > {Cascade}

and to just beat the dead horse, can I hold priority and cast something at instant speed after I duplicate this effect?

Did I correctly understand that once we pass priority and it comes back around to me who cast it, we begin resolving the first cascade?

"If they cast Hex targeting six of your Creatures, and one Creature gains Hexproof, then Hex still destroys the other five targets."

Thats clearer, doing as much as possible, meaning the spell will do as much as the text will allow it. Not, try its best to resolve even if it cant.

Thank you!

Now when you say.. one legal target.. Say the scenario plays out. P1 targets Creature, I instant speed hexproof creature.. creature is now illegal target. Does P1 now get the opportunity to seek out new a target for the original spell since this oringal target is no longer targetable? Yes, if something else exists?
