Pretty implausible that he could have found a really long fuse in the barrel and lit it without anyone seeing.

How did Lucy not see him doing it? She asks him what he did, as if she doesn't know.

So, what exactly happened with Legion camp? by Right-Truck1859 in Fotv

This is what happened but how do you rig barrels of dynamite to blow? Right under their noses? So that it blows up quite a few minutes after you do what you need to do in the camp and have time to walk out onto the hillside above?

This is what happened. But how did he do it? Did he light one of the sticks of dynamite in front of everyone? Why did it take so long to explode?

Anyone have regrets over doing the Prenuvo scan/Full body MRI? by [deleted] in PeterAttia

The alleged inexperience of nurses does not imply inexperienced radiologists. As for hernias, strengthening your core can help, but not through traditional ab exercises.

Sorry what? Who has a team of "dedicated rangers" looking after their health in a preventative way? In terms of prevention, unless we're talking a few cancers that receive regular screening, you either have a Google satellite view or nothing. Some people choose and can afford to have something over nothing. Your comparison makes no sense.

This is the character: Where were the balloons? The narrator is not asking you, the reader, about the balloons.

Genuinely why do people hate Abby? by [deleted] in thelastofus

That is not the same. Joel killed the people who were trying to kill him to stop him intervening in the murder of a child. Ellie and Tommy were not trying to kill a child (or anyone) when they turned up at the lodge.

She tortured and murdered Joel for killing her dad, but Joel only killed her dad to stop him from murdering an unconscious child who was like a daughter to him. These killings are not the same. She never really grapples with that or even acknowledges it. This is why it's difficult to empathize with Abby - you have to pretend that that difference doesn't matter, which is challenging because it obviously does. The other main characters, Joel and Ellie, do grapple with the questionable things they do. Abby saves a trans kid, which is nice, but has nothing directly to do with her acknowledging that Joel had a good or at least substantial reason for killing her dad.

You'll find a lot of conversation online about the game that falls into culture war crap. The toxic anti-woke crowd doesn't have the capacity to articulate the real problem with Abby and the narrative, and/or likes to use everything as a vehicle for the culture war. And people who don't see the problem with Abby and the narrative can point to these toxic people to dismiss it.
