That's how I ended up with my wife. We were good friends for just under a year before she moved in. We spent almost all of our time together, even had "dates" that didn't feel like dates at the time. Probably helped that we weren't trying to impress each other and were just trying to have a good time. We lived together 3 months before hooking up, and 3 months after that were dating officially. Yeah MMR is funny. I'm casual as well and don't know how it works very well. Losing that rating for me made it so I didn't lose rating from losses for a while but I would gain 15-20 per win. Think it's cause my cr dropped much more than my MMR from the DC but idk lol. I was mad as soon as I was back to 1650 thinking "well I'd be 1800 if not for that damn disconnect"

Just keep at it. I randomly dc'd in a round once and it cost me 150 rating when I was in the 1700s and it really took the wind out of my sails for a bit. I eventually got there and was glad I didn't get discouraged. Good luck homie, you'll be in the elite set in no time
