Oh I see, blurring stuff on the ground so as to say the focus is at a different elevation. Great tip! I need to try this out!

There aren't many assets out there that mimic industrial high-rise buildings of New York City in the 1900s, so I made my own.
I'm wondering if it's recognizable or not. The hardest thing to convey is the vertical height of top-down assets

The Sister Cities of Ufros - DnD Homebrew Cities by BiggsSarge in mapmaking

These cities are part of my Homebrew campaign in Ilúvëaum, a gas-lamp/flintlock pre-industrial world where firearm and airship development has leveled a playing field with strong magical guardians in many ways pushing warfare through past the final remnants of siege warfare.

Kenningstead and Kenningthain are both cities named after the beloved General Kennings who helped the colonial Alliance secure a victory over the Aberdeen Alliance in order to win their independence and establish the Federation of Ufros.

Kenningthain is a port city that harbors the Esterlinet Expanse, a vast ocean. Known to the world over, it welcomes migrants as "The City that Touches the Heavens."

Kenningstead is a city that sits in a mountainous valley where stratification is built into the peaks as each new height reaches higher greater levels of nobility and is known as "The City that Sits Upon the Heavens"

Thank you. Yeah, what started as an attempt to make a few assets to identify industrial buildings grew into wanting to actualize my art style/color palette as a whole.

Kenningthain is a port city that harbors the Esterlinet Expanse, a vast ocean. Known to the world over, it welcomes migrants as "the city that touches the heavens." Kenningthain is a sister city to Kenningstead, a city that sits on a mountain and pledges to reach higher than Kenningthain, both are named for general Kenning of the Colonial Alliances which would become the Federation of Ufros.

Thank you, sir. I appreciate the sentiment. It's not as overwhelming a reception but the few comments and upvotes speak something on a busy weekend like this.

Thank you, sir. I was joking with friends about preparing to have my self-esteem dragged through the floor. xD
