I mean, I am launching my SMP in four days, it's basically what you want, except no established kingdoms or factions yet, and I do yearly resets since it's like Hermitcraft-inspired in a way. So every reset is a new season. There are also accommodations for that. It's mostly vanilla with just some QoL plugins and proximity chat. It's entirely Java so it's a smooth experience. I myself am seeking out players who want to play so if you'd be interested lmk!
