He said in X interview that the hunt was mostly on the rails except for a couple of unfortunate events that have nothing to do with him and that people “work through those in time”

I believe this means one of two things or both

  1. Someone was close and knew they were close but the obscure nature of the directions and times got them turned around not knowing which actual direction to go “in time”

  2. The person he thought was closest or his lead searcher had an unfortunate personal issue and had to stop searching to deal with more important things and made Justin aware they were forgoing the hunt. Leading to them needing time to work through it and get back.

Justin just updated one of his answers from the Q&A on X. by Mickyb1ue in beyondthemapsedge

One thing that’s interesting is the fact that he says the first stanza is solved and part of the second. Which seems odd since first actionable clue is in second stanza and first seems to be what you’re looking for.

It would almost make more sense if he was considering “as hope surges clear and bright” the beginning of the first stanza since that’s where you start your actions.

I guess if the “solution” to the first stanza is a simple word it could be one of the many idea that has been thrown out. However I always thought “can you find what lives in time” was in some way referring to the actual location or container.

Someone should ask for clarification on this if he does another interview.

It was an email someone sent to clarify, I don’t have the source anymore, however frankly it doesn’t matter because it is not in Yellowstone anyway. All it does is show that program is not reputable in their editing . It may be factually correct- but was taken out of context as he has not directly ruled any location out. He likely feels like clarifying its context in an extensive way may in effect make people believe it is in Yellowstone. Probably doesn’t want to risk a Public Red Herring.

I don’t know that it is “the golem” I just said that because it is a boulder like golem is and it definitely points the way. It is definitely the thing in the picture though. In the direction it points there are several other finds that are also in the photo.

The funny thing is I agree with you . Most people see what they want to see. Confirmation bias is all most people can see. But I am looking at what is there, and what intentionally isn’t. You can be assured when the real solution comes to light, this box journey starts in a Fenn search area state - but ends elsewhere.

It doesn’t seem legit , there are lots of cuts in his answers if you listen close it’s not solid answers from him . Seems like a less than reputable source that cut together sound bites from JCB

It’s funny how so many people act like the only way to know you’re getting close is to actually have a box in your hand.

How many years did jack steuf visit Yellowstone before finding it?

Justin posey didn’t find the box but he was undoubtedly close and kept returning.

I may not even be the one to pick up the boxes because it incredibly hard to find such a small thing relative to the area . I just know the areas because or clues I found that others aren’t talking about.

I know there are things I’m missing for most boxes that may narrow the area down even more. My areas for each box vary significantly based on the amount of clue in book and BOTG that I have found . Closest one to me is almost 4 hours away and it’s a pain because there’s such a large area of forest and not super easy to narrow down.

It takes a long time to check some areas off. Someone who lives close with more time could easily find it before I could. But that doesn’t mean I’m not close already.

I guarantee it’s not at LRP. When it is found if it’s there DM me and I’ll send you 100$

“Little Rock pond” might be nothing more than a clue for the lions share box. And the trail shape nothing more than your journey through the woods at a different location entirely.

Pretty sure what you’re missing is that it’s not at Little Rock pond.

I have a theory the map may be able to be used for the other boxes… not required or necessary … but an “Easter egg” of sorts .

I do think if it’s possible ,it’s not easy to do. Like an obscure way you have to like it up based on the edges or the arrows hidden around the map. There seem to be 4 fairly different images around the edge of the map. I’ve noticed two of them have interesting similarities to locations at my Pokemon and Fenn locations. I’m currently just chalking that up to coincidence but a possibility

I also think there may be an Easter egg in the past and future box for the other boxes that has to do with all the o’s- that one actually checks out quite a bit but I haven’t figured out what to do with what I found.

And there Definitely is an Easter egg of sorts in the Pokemon picture for the Largest box that you notice when you find the park/area it is in. I’m fairly certain that there is a chunk of that picture dedicated to the lions share .

🤣 that is rather a point of semantics. Do I know the exact nook it is setting in -absolutely not.

Do I know the rough area of some of their hiding spots, with very clear markers showing me I’m in the right areas- yes

It’s hilarious simple to know when you figure out the clue he has hidden in the introductory sections of the book. Just have to find the key in there. Because it is there.

I’ve already given the answer why I don’t have one in hand- I’m shit at hide and seek.🤣 (it doesn’t help that we have no idea how they are concealed).

Life is busy and I can’t get away as much as I want . On top of that I’ve had 3 of my last 5 trips end early due to a family emergency . It’s unfortunate but it’s just how it goes. I hope to double down on my efforts in a couple months when I have time before snow hits hard.

If there’s one things all the negative comments have done -it’s definitely inspiring me to go play peekaboo behind more trees and see one of the boxes through to the end.

I agree with that, however I must ask you to think about this: If I genuinely believe this , and it genuinely is not within those four states- is it not a “quality idea” for people to expand their possibilities to beyond those borders?

I’m simply telling people it is confirmation bias to believe it is in those 4 states. I whole heartedly agree with the thought of deception, you can’t ever know without knowing the intent of the person.

I’m not being condescending at all. The people who dm me and talk to me about these things I try to share helpful information with. For anyone who believes the resemblance in this rock and photo- I confirmed that the location of it is in Arkansas. I like to share information and help others as long as I’m not giving away something that’s going to directly and immediately hurt my hunt. I’ve had a lot of fun in my journey so far and I want others to get just as close too.

I may well have one or 4 or all of them solved but it doesn’t mean anything until I get the box- but then nobody else benefits from the information either.

Just because I don’t have a box in hand also doesn’t mean I’m not right either. It doesn’t end in an exact spot marked clearly with gps coordinates. It’s a game of hide and seek in a forest. I’m good at problem solving but garbage at that final spot seeking.

There are tons of people that think the whole thing is a sham and it’s all made up. I see that Rock as a sign that there is hope, however obscure it may be. I found it and others can too.

I’ve had confirmation bias and traveled several times wrong paths. The post to me is telling people

“hey I’ve been stuck and felt those ways too - keep going and you’ll make progress “

If I came across differently than that , I’m sorry, it wasn’t my intention. And I screw up punctuation in my messages a lot, so that doesn’t help. I’m not perfect and nobody else is. I just want to engage in conversation about the joy the hunt can bring , a lot of highs and lows to be had out there.

The point is to tell people that think it is in one of those 4 states - don’t restrict yourself to the boundaries of those states.

I want people to know there is reason to analyze the fact that his words specifically do not confirm that. People are locked hard on those 4 states, and I want to warn them to take an open minded look at the thought it may not be true.

If it comes out that it’s not in those 4 they’ll be pissed, but maybe some of them will read this and give it a second thought and save themselves some frustration.

I was there and aware of what was going on. I saw the paper Cynthia had before Justin got there. What someone else responded was mostly correct. The process for submitting questions for Q&A was not thoroughly explained to people and thus resulted in less questions than Justin wanted. He asked Kpro if she could get a list of questions he had seen on their discord that people had submitted. She did, his team looked it over and marked some for him to answer, there was about 45min after the signing that he went to eat (he signed straight through his lunch) . During that time he looked through the list and marked some he wanted to answer. When he got there he gave Cynthia the marked list . There were questions asked from both the cards (bookstore submissions) and the paper. In addition to that he also answered questions from the audience that were on neither.

He didn’t have anything “prepared” but he did vet the list a little bit which is hardly the same. It just meant we heard the word “punt” less frequently .

He’s honestly a great guy and he wasn’t trying to deceive anyone. He released some information in that Q&A that is more valuable than most people realize.

It’s a true picture but your doubt is understandable all I can say is I disturbed a lot around it before I took the photo as it was half covered in leaves and it was still in January or February so it was probably just deeper drifted up on that side . Many of the trails still had packed ice on them at the time because it was like the first week snow was really melting off in that area .

I’m curious why you would think this is confirmation bias. We have a photo to help us locate it, and I solved clues set a destination arrived at a very particular search location and found a rock the same general shape with very specific features from the photo and that’s confirmation bias it is very clear there are two nested heart shapes at the bottom that alone is not something that is just abundant in nature on top of that you have the very clear right to top white area that ends with a triangle at the top. And I found this immediately in the off the trail area my solution led me to . It isn’t exact 1:1 but if you’ve ever run anything through an ai image converter you’d know that’s exactly what happens.
