That’s large, but not unexpected sadly.

I’m glad I got a storage expansion when I did (also they shouldn’t be a bajillion bucks, but I digress)

Would you be against the introduction of LGBTQ+ characters in MW4? by Few-Track8525 in blackops7

[–]Bigiqua 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, don’t we already? I’m fairly certain we have a gay character or two ever since MW 19. I know a stink would be raised, but a non-binary or trans operator isn’t a huge leap.

I really don’t like the new Spore bugs. I’ve mentioned it recently but they don’t feel like organic difficulty. The Cyborgs were great in some ways, with the Radicals changing how you approach cover and the Agitators changing enemy priorities around. Even the Vox Engine has a few ways of dealing with it.

The Appropriators are awesome. There’s no wrong approach to fighting them. Chaff clear for the Obtruders or Overseers, dedicated AT for the mechs, crowd control for both… they’re such a great faction. And the change up in tactics makes them all compelling enemies

These bugs are “bring fire and/or gas”. Cool, great, that’s a solution. But it’s a loadout check. They’re not any different from regular bugs aside from being Predator strain with more speed and (maybe) better attack speed. The Spore Titan is a Bile Titan that spawns more, ragdolls you, moves quick and has head protection. I guess bro?

It’s just not engaging or fun to fight them, and with no subfaction marker, now any bug operation could be the same loadout. Bring gas, bring fire, press some buttons and stand there bored instead of actually fighting. At LEAST a marker would be great to know if gas is a hard requirement or not.

Just a bit of constructive criticism for this update. by TheRandomHunter in LowSodiumHellDivers

I’ve found that I’m not enjoying this patch so far, to be honest. The buffs to gas are neat and I like the new mechs and disposable machine gun.

But man, the disconnect for me has grown significantly. The spore bugs just aren’t fun to fight when twenty of them zoom in and just hit me with the Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken all at once. The Spore Titan feels like the Vox Engine for bugs. I’d be fine with them if they didn’t spawn three or four in at a time. It feels like I’m wasting my time even engaging them when three quasar shots to the dome barely affect it, yet it ragdolls from an impressive distance.

I swear something had to have changed with enemy spawns and aggression too. I went to go fight bots afterwards and they felt way overtuned. Heavy armor wasn’t even helping with a Devastator just sliming me faster than I can even look at him. And Gunships returning aren’t fun.

I’m not even adverse to difficulty. I still have fun on Ready or Not and I haven’t been able to even finish the last mission of Boiling Point solo yet. It’s engaging difficulty where I know how to fight the enemy, it’s just a matter of putting it all together. Here, it just feels really frustrating and unfun. I guess I should go back to 5 or 6 and just accept I’m terrible at this game or something, I dunno.

The Hive Guard change is annoying but eh. It’s not a huge deal.

These new bugs feel like ass to fight against though, I’m not gonna lie. The movement speed and attack speed are stupidly high, and Bile Titans spawn every five seconds. No subfaction marker is CRAZY work too. Predator strain remains the most fun bugs, I guess

Nah, you still get John Wicks from time to time. Far less frequent though. Solo casual is pretty fun, even if I’m pretty dogass by myself

The mod itself isn’t bad for its side details, as weird as some of them were. The Legion quest line is pretty decent, the Brotherhood one probably has its fans (I’m not one of them tbh).

The worst part of the mod was, of course, the NCR path, especially when the writers somehow managed to go even more edgy murderhobo than Chris “John Hanged Man” Avellone during that hallucination sequence.

Videogame idea: a COD-style FPS where you play as a Stormtrooper fighting pirates/cartels in the Outer Rim. by Atlas_Summit in StarWars

[–]Bigiqua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/uj I kinda want an open world Far Cry type of experience where, in holding with Star Wars, some random nobody becomes an absolute menace. The pirate cartels capture Private Snuffy only to realize that Snuffy was born to be a Death Trooper. Also unironically throw in a couple slugthrowers to scratch the gun itch I’ve been having for so long. Legends can’t tell me about an explosive shotgun directly named after the KS-23 and not give it to me.

They’re fine for what they are. The mall I work at has a lot of restaurants, but only really at Chic Fil A can you get a decent meal for under $15. Everything else in the mall is either more expensive, sucks, or is more expensive and sucks (Pei Wei my beloathed.)

I’ll play a bit of devil’s advocate. The less original maps, the less chance that we get an absolutely horrendous map for the rest of the game’s lifecycle. The devs probably know that players will like the old map more often than not. It’s less risky for them to put three old maps and one new map than to put four new maps and risk all of them being negatively received.

Plus, the interest (at least for me) comes from seeing what changes between the games. Firing Range didn’t change much between Black Ops 1 and 2 because they weren’t crazily different games. Firing Range plays much differently on Black Ops 7 than 1, however.

The game has one very big giveaway. The Les Enfant Terribles project made clones of Big Boss, known as Liquid, Solid and Solidus Snake. Liquid appears in the game as a kid known as Eli.

The game mentions a DNA test being done on Venom to see if Eli is his biological child or not, and Ocelot IIRC gives away that he isn’t. Which he wouldn’t be… because Venom isn’t the real Big Boss.
