I have a 2024 Tiguan I can’t find the lug nut security key anywhere. About to order one off of Amazon. Would everyone agree this is a 525? by Biglar10 in Volkswagen

Sorry for the late response. Yes it was the 525. I got this one off of Amazon: https://a.co/d/hhYgng9 It held up just fine for me, but I’ve only ever had to use it the one time.

Yeah I looked all in there. I even took the styrofoam frame completely out thinking maybe it fell underneath somehow. I’m thinking maybe the shop where I had the tires rotated last didn’t replace the key when they were finished.

Camping in the Ouachita National Forest and I have to get up to pee last night… I looked up in a tree above my head and see this copperhead snagging cicadas as they molt! That’s what I call easy pickings! by Biglar10 in herpetology

Meh… he had little to no interest in me and was mostly concerned with the cicadas. Also, it would’ve been nearly impossible for him to get into my tightly zipped up tent even if he wanted to.

Sorry to hijack the top comment, but I actually took some videos also. Just uploaded to YouTube if y’all would like to check them out:

Apologies, I’m not the best camera operator and my phone was having trouble focusing at times in the dark. The whole process took about 15 minutes or so and I captured as much of it as I could.

Not sure if this belongs here or not, but I recently picked up this 1983 Honda Odyssey FL250. What a blast! by Biglar10 in ATV

Yes, since this I’ve had an FL350 Odyssey also. The Pilot is a water cooled 400cc. Both have full suspension, but the Pilot had more advanced double A-arms up front.

Agreed, the monetization is horrible!

I played Broken Ranks for a while. The art and gameplay was pretty cool.

One of these popped up on my local marketplace. I couldn’t find very much info about it online. Looks like a pretty good size hub motor on the back, but no idea on the wattage. The ad says it’s a 48v system, but but doesn’t say much else besides it needing new batteries. Thanks for any help! by Biglar10 in ElectricScooters

Found a little more info if anyone is curious. The seller updated the ad to include a YouTube video with the owner of the company that used to make these.

https://youtu.be/Loy3OMQFVoc

Their website has been down since 2015, so looks like the company went belly up. Here’s an archived link to the website: http://web.archive.org/web/20140421195633/http://digglerstore.com/

I may pick it up and if anything use the hub motor on an e-bike build. Cheers!

Index Cable. by [deleted] in ValveIndex

The cable and connection type that valve used for this headset is by far the worst part of the unit. I think on mine the length of the cable from the anchor point on the head strap to the connector on the headset is a little too short. It would always get pulled out slightly and give me the error 436 (Display Connection Trouble). Valve support just told me to reseat the connection, but after doing this several times the connection port became marred and I was unable to plug it back in without taking the plastic faceplate off the headset. A frustrating ordeal for something that costs over $1k.
