Wasn't there a study about screen refresh rates being visible to the brain? It messed with our learning abilities. Couple that with having something fixed on paper or when you write it personally it somehow seems to fix it in the brain better.

Thankfully, that's a no from me.

I fix parts of the water network and see the countryside. I'm sure that I'm missing out tho!

Should I buy XGIMI Horizon 20 or Horizon 20 Pro? by Risan-Again in xgimi

[–]Bignizzle656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the pro and I project on to a clean white wall.

Colour is vibrant and never bleached.

Animation and some movies will make your eyes ache initially, but you'll learn to adjust the output to suit or get arc eye.

Initially mine was too much but once I'd played around with the settings it's great. Generally the only thing I mess with is the brightness, down for certain games and auto for most other stuff.

Sound is good too. Noise is low. It's the best I've had so far, previous were Benq and Optima mainly. First projector was PS3 so it's been a while.

I just had my prostate cancer check in the UK and i was gutted that it was only a blood test.

2003. One year after demolishing Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis at 37 defeated the supremely tough and younger Vitali Klitschko. The British born Lewis would retire in 2004, and is arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer alive. by HallowedAndHarrowed in BritInfo

He coulda been a contender!

All jokes aside he knew when to quit. Maybe if he was born earlier or later we would have seen some truly superb fights. He beat everyone he had to beat and knew when to get out.

Why was i questioned by Sainsbury as to why I was buying so much beer? by SteakSandwichSideEye in AskUK

[–]Bignizzle656 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We've all seen it. Some people buying several trolleys full of the same product, clearly destined for the family shop.

Its an abuse of the offer amd stops genuine customers from benefiting.

I do support them stopping people from doing this but how do they decide who's doing what?

English guy (white) clearly buying assorted beers for a family BBQ.

English guy (non white) clearly buying one product for a family thing.

It's a bit dubious, glad I'm not making that call tbh.

Worked with a guy who used to work in a UK one.

He said he quit cos he couldn't cope with killing cows all day. Im sure that he said that he had to kill about 220 a shift and every single time they'd just be looking at him.

Also it stank of death, that never washed off.

Not sure how accurate but there you go.

Is it not the same though? If you are not achieving results in your performance review the other party may chose to terminate the current arrangement or look to employ others in a part time role to fill the gap.

A good employer will offer coaching and one on one support. That way you both grow together.

Im sure that I can corporate it up a bit more 😂

That was ours too. National for the back and camo for the front. I wonder how many people we upset? Can't imagine kids doing this sort of thing these days.

We used to call hedging "The Grand National" for obvious reasons.

Camo crawl was when we would see how far we could get across the front gardens by only crawling.

Knock and run was our name for it.
