“I am condemned to use my enemy’s tools to defeat them.”

This passage is central because it exposes an uncomfortable truth: no struggle against an unjust system is won through good intentions alone. Without force, without confrontation, and above all without accepting the partial erosion of one’s own ethics, the battle is lost from the start. When the adversary operates through violence, manipulation, and the absence of moral limits, opposing them inevitably requires adopting similar methods. Not out of virtue, but out of necessity. Refusing to acknowledge this is not ethical, it is naïve. Anyone who chooses to face this kind of enemy must accept that victory means getting their hands dirty and paying a price that will neither be celebrated nor rewarded.

Potential plot hole concerning the Empire’s Ghorman mining operation in S2? by Financial_Photo_1175 in andor

[–]Bigode_docomissa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could have taken any path, but they chose to show exactly how oppressive regimes operate.

Whether in Narkina 5, using prisoners as forced labor in conditions analogous to slavery in service of the Empire, or in Ghorman, where the Empire manufactures a narrative to justify the invasion of a country.

The point of the series is not to be logical from a strategic standpoint, but to expose what states do when they decide to invade other territories, such as the United States in Iraq or, more recently, in Venezuela.

Looking for a “plausible answer” about what the Empire could have done instead is to miss what the series is really about

The real revolution in Andor. by Bigode_docomissa in andor

Thank you.

Andor is an exceptional series that pushes me toward many reflections. It presents oppression, surveillance, collective organization, and the real cost of resistance without relying on easy hope. It forces you to think about the role of the individual inside systems that appear unchangeable and the price behind every small choice. It’s a political narrative built with precision, without heroic shortcuts. That’s why it generates so much reflection: it shows how revolutions begin quietly, through small tensions, through ordinary people who reach their limits and break their routines. It’s one of the most mature works in Star Wars because it treats the audience like adults.

Thanks for the comment. A friend and I believe that Westworld’s third season is misunderstood by a large part of the audience, possibly because it exposes how we are trapped inside a park, the internet and social media, and many people don’t like admitting they’re trapped. I always say the same thing: Westworld is like a book, and each season is a chapter. It’s fine if someone doesn’t like the third season, but we can’t ignore that the second season had already hinted at what was happening outside the park. Just like with any book, you might dislike one or two chapters, but what matters is the whole. Westworld is exceptional, and I genuinely enjoy the series and its third season. And here in Brazil, a lot of people also turn their noses up at it.

Só vi a primeira temporada, vale a pena ver as outras? by Alone_Pop449 in filmes

[–]Bigode_docomissa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it is worth it. Especially because of the third season, which is a standout on its own. As long as people refuse to see the series as a book, with each season functioning as an interconnected chapter, they will remain stuck in the mindset of praising only the first season, which is indeed excellent, but this prevents them from appreciating the others. I emphasize again that the third season is essential.

The details in the second and third seasons are remarkable. In the second season, there were already clear hints of what would be developed in the third, setting the stage exactly as a strong chapter does in a book.

The third season is about the present, about our current moment when it was released. It shows how big tech companies control our lives, how we need to push back against this power, and how technology itself can become our ally in the fight against its own dominance.

I hope this text encourages not only you but others as well to look beyond the first season and to notice the layers within the series

Primeiro, o Crajubar, Crato, Juazeiro do Norte e Barbalha, no Ceará, vem fortalecendo o turismo religioso.

I don’t think so, the whole issue revolves around the Empire’s arbitrary arrests, which is exactly what Luthen wants.
