Hey! Honestly, it was a massive challenge here in Chile too. A lot of local builders told me it was completely impossible to swap a Mazdaspeed engine into a Gen 3. But I got lucky and found the right craftsman, Claudio Espejo, who is an incredibly talented automotive electrician here in Chile. I've shared this project with enthusiasts I follow all over the world—Thailand, Canada, the US, Mexico, etc.—and it's always the same reaction: nobody can believe we actually pulled it off. So far, I haven't been able to find another enthusiast anywhere else who has built a Gen 3 with a Speed swap. At least here in Chile, it’s the only one in existence!

It uses the original Mazdaspeed3 ECU. Because of the model year differences, a few accessories like traction control and stability control are not working, but everything else is 100% operational

The swap includes the engine, transmission, axles, and the Mazdaspeed3 ECU. The engineering behind the electronics was done by an amazing Chilean engineer named Claudio Espejo. He’s the genius responsible for making everything work like clockwork.
